Then Rose led the group to the second ride, the Drop Tower, which was the second safest ride. The Drop Tower stood 50 feet high in the sky. Annie, having faced her fear on the previous ride, wasn't that scared this time. Rose looked at Annie with excitement.
Rose: "Are you ready? This ride is more intense than the last one..." Rose said, her tone both warning and cheeky.
Annie: "I'm sure! I can do this... I mean, what could go wrong?" At that moment, she knew... she had messed up.
Bell: "Bitch, look at the warning sign!"
Warning Sign: This may cause extreme trauma and headaches.
Annie didn't listen to Bell and started walking on the ride with too much confidence. This time, they were all seated together as a group, with Annie between John and Clark.
John: "You seem too confident for this ride... which you shouldn't be."
Annie looked confused. Annie: "Why not? I thought confidence was a good thing..."
Clark: "Not on this ride..."
Annie was going to ask more, but the ride started! It ascended to 20 feet and then dropped suddenly.
Annie: "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Tina was crying like a little girl, Rose's scream was one of joy for some weird reason, John made a funny scared face instead of screaming, and Darren was smiling and laughing loudly. At the same time, Clark's expression was hidden behind his mask. The tower then rose to 35 feet in the air.
Annie: "Is it over—?!" Annie screamed again as the tower dropped. This repeated for 23 seconds.
Rose: "Oh my gosh, here comes the scary part!" Annie was even more afraid as the tower reached its limit and quickly went up and down ten times. Annie felt exhausted and almost passed out. As the ride slowed, the seats detached, and they descended with parachutes, landing on a soft surface. Annie lay there, her legs and mind shaking.
Darren: "Annie, are you okay?" Darren asked as he gently shook Annie.
Clark sighed. Clark: "I guess this was due to her overconfidence... Micheal, carry her. We're going to eat now." Micheal gently placed Annie on his shoulders and started heading to the park's food area. When they reached the spot, Annie slowly woke up on Micheal's shoulder.
Annie: "Let me go! I have legs!" Annie demanded, but Micheal ignored her.
Micheal: "No can do, little girl..."
Annie: "This is seriously stupid..."
Micheal just rolled his eyes and continued to carry Annie as she acted stubborn and cranky. Later, the group settled at a table.
