His maid Alister comforts him by letting him sit on his lap on Clark's bed. "Alister, you know you should stop being mean and harsh towards your father," Alister said gently, playing with Clark's hair. "He's just looking out for you."
"I know, but... it's annoying. He's forcing me into things I don't need or want," Clark replied, resting on Alister's lap.
"How about if I talked to him? Would that make you feel better?" Alister suggested.
"A bit," Clark admitted.
Alister carefully laid Clark in bed, turned off the lights in his room, and shut the door quietly behind him. Clark was always spoiled with love and care by Alister and sometimes thought of him as a mother figure. For Ryder, not so much. Clark just saw him as a stranger who lived under the same roof.
Alister went up to Ryder's office and knocked on the door. Alister knew he had a chance of being fired as the maid in the house, but he deeply cared about his Clark.
"Come in," Ryder said, not looking away from his typewriter.
"Hello, sir... umm... I'm just here to talk to you about Clark," Alister said nervously but calmly.
Ryder looked at Alister and stopped typing. "I see... take a seat," he said, quieter than usual.
Alister took a seat. "I think your son is having a hard time and is unhappy. I think it's best if you let him do the things he loves."
Ryder looked at Alister seriously, forming a smirk. "Okay... but I want something in exchange," he said mischievously.
Alister's mind raced. What could he possibly want from a maid boy like me? "What is it?" he asked.
Ryder smirked. "I'm attending a party, my best friend's party, and I promised I would go, but... the party is for couples. So I think you're the best suited to be my fake husband. I'll even be nice to the little shit if I have to... and maybe give you a raise."
"But for how many days?" Alister asked, his heart racing.
"I don't know... maybe weeks, months... depends. So, what do you say?" Ryder said, showing him an envelope of cash. Alister needed it to send to his sick mother.
"I accept," Alister said quietly. He had a bad feeling about this, but it was a pretty good deal for a maid boy like him.
Back to Annie, who was sleeping peacefully on the sofa. Annie woke up at 5 and started her normal routine: taking a bath, changing her clothes, and cooking food for herself. Maybe Annie's life could be good?
Annie looked at her schedule, which was the same as usual. At 7:30, the jet arrived, and Annie got in.
Belle: "The day is going fast, huh?"
Annie's mind: Yeah... I guess I'm quick to adapt to this new life...
Annie sat beside Rose.
Rose: "Hey Annie! Are you ready to experience the subjects for real?" Rose said, smiling at Annie.
Annie: "I guess... I just hope it goes well..."
Then they arrived at school. Annie got down and went to her class.
