Daella had a strange life. In the few years she had been on the earth she was expected to be something astronomical and perfect but always look out for herself. Follow her future husband but don't let him take advantage. Be independent but don't disobey men.
That was who she was meant to be. But would she ever become that lady in the books?
Daella advanced her way towards her mother's chambers as her dress draped on the floor. Daella was of darker hair like her mother and prided herself on being Alicent in every way. She wore green and styled her hair to match the person that gave birth to her.
As the girl found herself in front of one of the many grand staircases, she noticed how many people from court were there. She gave a small huff and smiled at the onlookers as she picked up her skirts slightly to walk up the stone steps.
"Princess, have you seen the babe yet?" A lady asked as she halted the girl. Daella dawned a fake smile on her face and looked up at the woman.
"No, I haven't Lady FaireStone, I was just making my way to my mother's chambers to glance at the new babe." The girl said as her cheeks started to sting from how much she was smiling. Lady FaireStone gave a curt nod and a small bow as she continued down the steps.
Daella rolled her eyes and continued up the never-ending pieces of rock.
She hastily walked down the hallway towards her mother's chambers. She pushed one of the heavy doors open and was met with her mother getting her dress fixed.
"My darling Daella, come sit I was just having my dress finished." Alicent smiled at her.
Alicent always adored Daella in every way. She looked like her, she acted like her, and was respected like her. The only thing Alicent wished was that she wouldn't continue to talk with the bastards because she noticed little whispers following the princess.
"Thank you, mother. I am exhausted after my journey up those stone demons with other demons hating me at every possible moment." Daella huffed and collapsed on one of the many seats with a pillow sitting comfortably behind her.
Alicent let out a soft laugh and turned back around to face her grand mirror, a small smile still on her face.
The doors opened again and Rhaenyra and Laenor entering the chamber with a bundle of blankets in hold. Daella sat up hastily in her seat.
"Oh my lord." Daella whispered with a smile crawling up her face. She slowly stood, not bothering to fix her skirts. Rhaenyra smiled at her sister who came closer with her mouth agape in awe.
"If it doesn't trouble you princess...but, may I hold the babe." The young girl asked quietly as not to disturb the new born.
"Of course you may sweet sister." Rhaenyra smiled and passed the child over to her. She watched as Daella held the babe securely with a smile across her face, she delicately moved her hand to caress the baby's cheek.
