"I don't want you to be King." Daella admitted to Aegon as she watched him stare at himself in the mirror.
"Then why did you stop me?" he croaked as he turned to face her.
"I don't...know." a tear left her eye.
"I couldn't let you leave because...you're my best friend. You have been with me through it all and...I love you too much to let you go." Daella walked up to him and held his cheek. He leaned into her hand and kissed her palm.
"I just don't want you to turn mad and not realise what mother is doing because I will hate you forever if you don't." she threatened and marched out of the room.
"Daella."
"What?" she turned her head.
"Marry me. Not Lord Forrester. You can be by my side, the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms." he cried.
"I don't belong there, I never will. I am the second daughter of the Queen, my job is to be married off for alliances and not fight back. No matter what you do, you can never change that."
she walked out of the room and down the hall, she met with Helaena and they went to the carriages with the rest of their family. Her, Helaena and Aemond went in one carriage while Aegon and Alicent went in the other.
Daella sat in silence, tears slowly dripping down her cheeks.
"What's wrong sister?" Helaena whispered in her ear.
"This isn't right. We'll be killed for this...and I'm not ready to go." she admitted as more tears left her eyes.
Helaena said nothing and held her hand tightly. Aemond looked on at the two, thinking over what Daella said. He wouldn't let them be killed, they were his family and he'd do anything for them. He wouldn't let the bastards do anything, they'd be dead before they could blink.
The carriage stopped and Aemond steeped out first and held a hand out to help Helaena then Daella. They walked to the dragon pit together and stood at the front as they watched the people of King's Landing pile in.
Alicent stood next to Daella. She reached for her daughter's hand but Daella pulled it away and played with her rings. Alicent looked at Daella is sadness, her poor girl was turning cold. And it was her fault.
Helaena grabbed Daella's right hand and smiled at her sister who smiled back.
"People of King's Landing, today is the saddest of days. Our beloved King, Viserys the Peaceful, is dead." Otto announced loudly over the hall, indistinct chatter breaking out at the news.
"But it also the most joyous of days. For as his spirit left us he whispered his final wish that his firstborn son, Aegon, should succeed him."
"Liar." Daella muttered as she glared at her grandfather.
The line of guards parted as Aegon walked through their swords. Alicent moved to the middle, staring at her son. Aegon looked at his mother, then grandfather, and then, Daella. She had no expression on her face as she looked forwards, never wanting to look at his face. His heart shattered even more. The woman he loved wouldn't even look at him.
Criston walked forward with the conqueror's crown in hand.
"The Crown of the Conqueror, passed down through generations. Let the Seven bear witness, Aegon Targaryen is the true heir to the Iron Throne. All hail His Grace, Aegon, Second of his name, King of the Andals the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm. Aegon the King!"
"Aegon the King! Long live Aegon!" The crowd cheered.
Daella finally looked at her brother with tears in her eyes and saw him smiling and raising his sword at the crowd in joy. She knew she'd lost him to greed.
Meleys blasted through with Rhaenys above. The crowd screamed as they tried to escape but Daella smiled. Rhaenys could end it all now. Let Rhaenyra be Queen.
Alicent put Aegon behind her as the dragon screamed at them, the wind swept them all as they waited for the Red Queen to burn them. But it never came. Rhaenys left and flew off into the distance.
The family huffed as the watched the dragon leave and calmed down. But not Daella.
She picked up her skirts and ran down the steps of the podium quickly.
"Get her!" she heard Aegon yell at the guards and the sound of footsteps came after her. She sprinted down the hall of the dragon pit, trying to reach Hyrne. He roared as he felt her come closer and she smiled as she went to climb up.
"No!" Aegon yelled and grabbed her waist tightly, dragging her away from her dragon.
"Let me go!" she cried as she kicked to get out of his grasp. Hyrne screamed as she was dragged away by guards.
"Aegon! Please!" she pleaded.
"No! You want to leave me!" he looked her in the eyes as she sobbed.
"Take her to her chambers." he commanded as she screamed to be let go. Alicent watched as her Aegon stared at the crying girl. She walked forward and rested a hand on his shoulder.
"You did the right thing." she said as Daella's screams quietened.
"Did I?"

Aegon opened the door to Daella's chambers where he found her staring numbly at the fire. The door closed and he came closer. She turned her head and glared at him.
"Go away."
"No." he sat down beside her on the sofa. He looked at the side of her face as the flames made it glow.
"What do you want Aegon?" she whispered and looked him in the eyes.
"For you to forgive me." she scoffed.
"Never." she stood and went towards the window.
"Then for you to be by my side. I am King and I will change it." he grabbed her cheek for her to look at him. She looked away to the other side but his hand guided her to look at him.
"I'll be called a whore." she whispered as she glared at his crown.
"I won't let them. Be mine and I'll be yours." she kissed her forehead.
She thought about it. If he truly meant he'd be hers, she could get him to leave the throne in place for Rhaenyra. She could control him.
She leant up and gave a slight peck on his lips and he smiled brightly.
"I shall see you later." he kissed her cheek and left the room with a massive smile on his face.
