===================
You were excited about spending time with Severus, even though you hadn't agreed to his invitation yet. The anticipation was thrilling, but there was also a tension gnawing at you due to Draco being mad at you. You couldn't understand why he was so upset, and it weighed heavily on your mind.
-----
As class ended, you were getting up from your desk to go directly to the library when you saw Professor Arif Sikander and Aurora Sinistra standing at your door, waiting for you. Arif smiled warmly, his dark eyes twinkling with a mixture of warmth and anticipation. "Y/N, it's good to see you. Do you have a moment to talk?"
"Of course, Arif. What's on your mind?" you asked, genuinely curious and slightly concerned by the serious look on his face.
He took a deep breath, glancing briefly at Aurora before returning his gaze to you. "Aurora and I have decided to stay friends. It's been tough, but it's better than losing her as a friend entirely."
You felt a pang of sadness for him. The weight of his decision was evident in his eyes. "I'm sorry to hear that, Arif. But I respect your decision. It's important to preserve your friendship."
Aurora joined the conversation, her expression soft and supportive. She placed a gentle hand on Arif's arm. "The headmistress has invited several professors to Hogsmeade for Valentine's Day and even assigned us rooms for the night," she said, her voice a comforting lilt that seemed to ease the tension in the air.
Your heart skipped a beat as she handed you a neatly folded parchment with the room assignments. Unfolding it, you read the list:
Room 1: Headmistress, Filius Flitwick, Gilderoy Lockhart, Dolores Umbridge
Room 2: Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley-Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger-Weasley
Room 3: Sirius Black, Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape, Y/N L/N
Room 4: Arif Sikander, Aurora Sinistra, Neville Longbottom, Hannah Abbot-Longbottom
Room 5: Luna Lovegood, Scamander, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonk-LupinYou couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension. Sharing a room with Severus was thrilling, but having Draco and Sirius there too, added an unexpected twist. "This is going to be interesting," you said with a small smile, trying to mask your nervousness.
Arif chuckled softly, sensing your unease. "It certainly will be. But I think it will be good for all of us to get away from the castle for a bit."
Aurora nodded in agreement. "And who knows? It might be just the thing we all need to relax and enjoy ourselves."
You glanced at the parchment again, feeling the anticipation build. "Thank you for letting me know. I guess I'll see you both in Hogsmeade."
Arif gave you a reassuring smile. "We'll see you there. Take care, Y/N."
With a final nod, they left you to your thoughts, leaving you standing in the doorway, the room assignments still clutched in your hand. You couldn't help but wonder how the evening would unfold and what surprises awaited you in Hogsmeade.
-----
As Valentine's Day is tomorrow. Students with Valentine's plans left Hogwarts, and other students who didn't have plans remained in Hogwarts. You and the other professors made your way to the Hogsmeade Inn. The journey was filled with chatter and laughter, the cold air nipping at your cheeks as spring slowly arrived, with snow still a bit visible on the road. When you arrived, you approached Harry and his friends, who were bundled up in warm cloaks.
