As I'm sitting in the back of the police car with the man that tried to kill me I'm faced with two options cut off the handcuffs and escape the police car or sit quietly and ignore this burglar.

I chose the second option.

But they seriously had to put me in the same car as this criminal.
Corporate they said. NO BITCH I WONT.

We get to the station and this is the second time I've been interrogated today. What fun.

I'm being asked all these stupid questions about what happened. Imagine the depp and heard case then make all of the lawyers and attorneys kindergarteners. Then you can basically see this room like the back of your hand.

I'm forced out of my peace when the interrogates asks how it happened.

"Can I ask why I'm being interviewed in the first place?"

"It's to make sure that the burglar doesn't get to make up a story of his own. Since you were a victim in this situation ; we want to get your point of view."

Reasonable enough.

"Well I came home from my boyfriends house and I made some dinner I was cutting onions and was crying. The perfect time to get robbed."

I explained to the detective.

"Stupidly I left my phone upstairs."

I told the detective the story the best my memory could recall in that stressful situation.

"Is that all you need?" I asked, hoping I could go home sooner rather than later.

"Yes for now. His sentencing will be on September eleventh. Try to attend." He says routinly, like he had said it hundreds of times.

"I'll be getting my items back from reception."
I got up from the cushioned chair. It leaving an indent from where I was sitting.

I collect my purse, phone, keys and I.D.

I get to my car and my phone rings.

Niko is calling,  my finger hover over the answer button instinctively. I sigh and answer.

Nikos pov:

I frantically called Amira multiple times throughout the night.

After hearing that her home was broken into.

I needed to hear her voice.

To know she was okay.

On what must've been the day 500th call she answered.

"Hey love are you okay?" I asked hoping for a long winded reply of what happened what I could've done. Her usual blaming and segueing if something like this happened.

"I'm fine." She said carefree and tired.

"Well I'm glad to hear that." I paused taking in that she's just fine I didn't want to think too hard about it she must've just had a rough night.

"Get home safe. I love you." I said waiting for an I love you back.

"I love you too babe." Her voice sounded like she didn't believe in what she was saying.

I hang up and go to my home screen finding something to distract myself after that confusing conversation. Maybe she'll be better in the morning.
