Louis
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hate Mondays. I crawl out of bed and frantically try to get ready. I can hear the chaos of the girls in the bathroom and downstairs. I get my bags together and head downstairs. My mom is working on packing Daisy and Phoebe's lunches. I run behind her and kiss her cheek. "Have a good day mum!" I tell her. "You too sweetie!" she shouts. I run out the door to my bus stop. I make it just in time to catch the bus to school.
Kegan and Jacob are calling me from the back of the bus. I walk back to then and sit down in the seat before them. "How you doin Lou?" Kegan asks, pushing himself over the seat. "I'm good. How bout you guys?" I ask them both. "Well Jacob had a good Sunday. He got to hang out with Gretchen!" Kegan tells me. Jacob hits him in the arm. "Really man?!" Jacob yells at Kegan. I laugh at them. "Kegan did you catch the Manchester game?" I ask him. "Duuuude! It was great they kicked Barcelona's arse!" he shouts. The bus driver gets on the intercom and tells him to keep it down. I laugh at him. "Where do you get all this energy and craziness?!" I ask him. "Your one to talk Tommo!" Jacob says.
When we get to school Kegan makes a point to compliment the bus driver, just to make her mad. Once off the bus, we are joined by a bunch of other guys. We walk into school and all separate off our own lockers. I take the long way to my locker, hoping to see Lily somewhere. I make it to my locker without one sight of her and I can't help but feel disappointed.
"Louis!" Tyler shouts, clapping me on the back. "Did you see the game this weekend?! Wicked!" he says. I shut my locker. "Amazing! Did you see that final shot by Giggs? THAT was impressive!" I say. We talk about the game some more, until I spot Lily down the hall. "Hey. I will catch you later." I tell Tyler, walking away before he can question me. I jog down the hall catching up with Lily.
"Funny seeing you here." I say when I get next to her. She looks at me and laughs. "Hey stalker." she says. I pretend to be offended. "Ah! It was one time. You know if we knew each other better maybe I wouldn't have to stalk you." I tell her. She suddenly stops walking and stares at me. "You want to get to know me?" she asks quietly. I smile down at her. "What can I say? I'm a genuine guy!" I tell her. She gives me the evil eye. "Don't go throwing my words back at me!" she says, playfully hitting my arms. I wince in fake pain. "Who Jew you were so aggressive?" I say. She rolls her eyes. "Bye Louis." she says, waving and walking off. She turns back and stops. "Nice jersey by the way." she says. I look down at myself and bak up, but she is already gone. She knew football? I was in complete and udder shock. And she left me standing here with a thousand questions. I laugh and go to my first class.
All day I busy myself, trying to make last period come faster. I wanted to see Lily again, and to ask her about football.
When I get to lunch halfway through the day, I'm not surprised when I see all my friends already shouting and being crazy. "You all seem to awake for a Monday!" I say, taking my seat at the table. "Maybe you have become to much of a sap to be crazy anymore!" George tells me. "Oh shut up George!" I tell him harshly. The other guys at the table all let out a chorus of ohs. "Leave him alone George." Tyler says, sitting next to me. We continue eating and everything goes back to normal. I can still feel the awkward tension between us though.
"Soooo Lou. How's Lily?" Harrison asks me. I slam my hands onto the table and push my chair out from underneath me. "What is it with you guys lately?! We are supposed to be friends. Teammates. Guys who support each other! What has happened to us?" I say, grabbing my sandwich and leaving. I throw away the remainder of my sandwich, no longer hungry and run my hands through my hair. I missed our old team. It was the same guys, but a different feeling. We supported each other and actually talked. I sigh and sink down onto the floor outside of the cafeteria.
