Lily

"Dad! Please. Stop." I say, but he ignores me. He pushes me out the door to the front of the shop. "Louis! How you doin son?!" he says over excitedly. Louis stands and greets my dad. "Hello sir. I'm pretty good. How bout yourself?" Louis says to my dad. My dad makes his way closer to him and pats him on the back. "Manchester eh?! My kind of kid!" he says loudly, observing Louis' jersey. "Dad! Would you please?! Your embarrassing." I tell him. Louis smiles at me. My dad sighs. "Fine sweetie. Have fun studying." he tells us, leaving us alone.
"Sorry." I mumble to Louis. He laughs. "It's alright. He is a fun guy." he tells me.
Michelle comes from the back room. She grins at me, looking over Louis. "Don't mind me! Just getting the uh, uh the, the stapler! Just getting the stapler!" she says awkwardly, hoisting the stapler up in the air. "Dad sent you out here to get a peek at Louis. Didn't he?" I ask Michelle. She laughs and runs through the door. "Ugh!" I groan. "This is so embarrassing!" Louis laughs again.
"Is that your mum?" Louis asks me. I gulp and sit down. "Oh. Uh. No. That's Michelle, she works for my dad. My mum passed away six years ago." I tell him. He looks guilty, and I can't help but feel bad. "Sorry. I just assumed." he says quietly. I smile at him, trying to make him feel better. "It's fine." I say. He looks up at me. "Were you close to your mum?" he mumbles softly. I take a deep breath. No one had ever asked me about my mom. "Yeah. I was with her all through her treatment. She had breast cancer. And we were close before that, but the two years of medical help she underwent made us develop an extremely close bond." I admit to him. He stays silent for a moment. "I'm sorry you had to go trough that." Louis tells me. I shrug, not knowing what to say.
I dig in my backpack, pulling out my history book. "Umm would you mind helping me out with a few things? I had some questions about one of the assignments from the beginning of the chapter." he says, sliding his paper towards me. I help him, and we work together for almost two hours. Eventually Louis shuts his book and looks at me. "I should probably get home." he tells me. "Yeah. I will walk with you, I mean if you want me to." I offer. "That would be nice." he says. I leave him to gather his stuff up and go tell my dad what I'm doing. I grab my phone and leave the shop with Louis.
We walk side by side in silence for awhile. "How bout we play twenty questions. So ten questions each, whatever we want. And we have to answer honestly." Louis suggests. I smile and agree. "I'll go first. What is your full name?" he asks. "Lillian Marie Collins." I tell him. He smiles and nods approvingly. "Um. What is your favorite color?" I ask him. "I like dark red." he tells me. "What is your most prized possession?" I think about that for a second. "My music." I tell him. "Really?" he says sounding shocked. I nod. "Uh. Do you have any siblings?" I ask him. He laughs for a while before answering. "Five half sisters. Georgia, Charlotte aka Lottie, Félicité, Daisy, and Pheobe!" he tells me. I stop walking and stare at him. "Oh my god!" I shout. We both burst out laughing. "Yeah it's kind of crazy at my house." he says. We start walking again. "If you could have any super power, what would you have?" he asks me. "I would probably want to be able to fly. Okay, besides football what do you do with your life?" I ask him. "I take care of my sisters a lot. I can cook. I enjoy studying. And I listen to a lot of music. Now, have you ever had a boyfriend?" he asks me. I blush. "No." I mumble. He looks over at me. "Hey! It's nothing to be ashamed of." he says. "Well then. If you could be anyone in the world for one day, who would you be?" He thinks for a moment before answering. "I would be David Beckham. Okay! If you could go to any place in the world right now, where would you go?" he asks. "Ghana. I really want to do volunteer work there. Do you sing in the shower?" I ask him, laughing a bit. He eyes me curiously. "Weird question. At home, most of the time. In the locker rooms, no." he tells me. "And do you have a crush?" I blush again. "Maybe. Do you?" I ask him. "Is that my question?" he laughs. I nod. He nudges me with his elbow. "Maybe. Um. Now, what is one thing on your bucket list?" he asks me. I click my tongue against my teeth, thinking. "Probably learn to play the guitar. Have you ever missed a goal in a football match?" I ask seriously. Louis bursts out in laughter. "Yes. Several times. Now... Have you ever been kissed?" he asks. I can't help myself, and I turn probably ten shades darker than myself normally. "No." I say almost silently. Louis looks over at me. Before he can say anything I ask my question. "What's your full name?" He stares at me with a blank face. "Louis William Tomlinson." he answers quickly.
"How long have you been bullied at school?" he asks. I suck in a breath, and stop walking. Louis looks panicked. "I'm sorry! You don't have to-" I cut him off. "There isn't a year of school were I remember not being bullied." I say quietly. I start to walk again. "Have you ever been bullied?" I ask him. He sighs. "Not severely. No." he tells me.
He stops us again and looks down at me. "Can I hold your hand?" he asks me. I look up into his blue eyes. "Is that my question?" I whisper. He nods. "Yes." I tell him. He intertwines our fingers and we continue to walk up the street. "Have we already passed your house?" I ask him. He laughs a little. "Is that my question?" he asks. "Yeah." I reply.
He stops us and pushes some hair put of my face. "We have passed it four times already." he says with a smile.
