Lily
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I straighten out my hair while I observe my appearance in the full length mirror on my door. I run my hands over the skirt of the blue sundress I wore. I had matched it with some black patterned tights and my doc martins. I sigh, nervously double checking my makeup. This was the first time I was going to meet Louis' family. I grab my purse off my bed and run down the stairs. My dad sits at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee. "Where's the fire?" he asks me , as I stumble into the kitchen with him. I giggle a bit. He looks up from his laptop. "Oh honey." he says, looking me over. He stands and hugs me tight. "No Giggs jersey? Im just kidding. Darling you look beautiful." he tells me. He kisses my head. "I just wish your mum was here to be with you." he tells me. "I'm not very good about boy advice." My dad blushes a bit. I hug him again. "It's alright dad." I say. "I will be back later. Pot pie is in the fridge. Don't use the oven, I don't want a repeat of what happened last time." I remind him, walking backwards. "Have fun sweetie!" he calls from the kitchen.
I mentally prepare myself on the walk over to Louis' house about what I'm going to say. When I get there, I can't find the will to knock on the door. I take a deep breath. I almost knock but then change my mind at the last second. The door opens anyways. A younger girl stands there smirking, just like Lou would. "Are we having second thoughts out here?" she asks me. I let out a nervous laugh. "I'm just kidding! I'm Lottie! And you must be the famous Lily." she says. I wave slightly, biting my lip. "That's me." I say quietly. She opens the door wider and gestures for me to come in.
I walk inside, and am instantly shocked by the smell. "Smells nice." I say while Lottie closes the door. "Lou's makin his special pasta stuff." she tells me. I follow her down the hallway. We end up in the kitchen where Louis and who I assume is his mom are working. She stops tossing the salad in front of her and smiles. She walks over to me, arms out stretched. "It's so glad to finally meet you!" she exclaims, kissing both of my cheeks and hugging me. I hug her back. "You too." I say politely. "Lou has told me so much about you!" she says happily. "Mum!" Louis groans. He leaves the stove and comes over to me. "Excuse my mother." he says jokingly. He hugs me and kisses my cheek. "How are you?" he asks, going back to the food. "Good. By the way. It smells fantastic." I say, nodding to the dinner. Three other girls run into the kitchen suddenly, as soon as a timer starts beeping. "Lily. Meet Félicité, Daisy, and Pheobe!" Louis says, pointing his spoon at the three girls. "Hello!" they say. A man follows into the room behind him. "The table is set. Let's get this show on the road!" he tells everyone. The younger girls cheer excitedly and run the way they came. "Hi. I'm Mark." the man says, extending his hand. "Oh and I'm Jay! Sorry I forgot thy part." Louis' mom tells me.
We gather up all the items from the kitchen for dinner. I help carry some stuff to the dining room. Everyone sits at the table together. We eat and talk. Louis' whole family was super fun. After we finish, Jay and Mark take the girls upstairs to get ready for bed. Lottie escapes to the tv room. I stick with Louis and help him clear the table.
"Thanks for coming over to meet my family." Louis says when we get back to the kitchen finally. "Well thanks for inviting me. They are loads of fun." I tell him. I help Louis load the dishwasher and put away leftovers. I start to scrub the pans while Louis wipes down the counters. As I apply more soap onto the sponge in my hand, I feel Louis behind me. He presses himself to me. I freeze not knowing what to do. His left hand goes to my hip while his right reaches for the stream of water. "Just getting the rag wet." he says quietly in my ear. When he's done. He makes a point to brush his jaw by my hair when he walks away.
"Well if that wasn't creepy, I don't know what is!" Lottie says suddenly, startling us.
The pan in my hand slips and falls the couple inches down into the sink. My mouth is hung open as I turn to look at her. Louis shares the same look for a second, before it changes completely. "You think that was bad?!" he asks her, pulling me into his arms. He starts to kiss me. My eyes are still open wide, but I can't keep them open as I kiss him back. "Ew Lou!" Lottie shouts, backing out of the room. Louis keeps kissing me for a moment, before breaking our lips apart. I catch my breath, avoiding Louis' eyes. He laughs, increasing his grip on me.
"Hello there." he says jokingly when I look up at him. "I just want you to know that I really wanted to do that from the moment you walked in here tonight." he tells me. I blush looking away again. That was my first real kiss. Last night was just a soft peck. What just happened was unreal. I squeeze my eyes shut, biting my lip to contain my happiness. I can feel Louis watching me. He keeps me in his arms, holding me close. "Wanna go for a walk?" he asks me. "Sure." I whisper. He turns to turn off the water that still ran in the sink. He grabs my hand and pulls me out the front door.
"I really like your family." I tell Louis. He laughs. "They certainly like you." he says. Louis swings are hands that are locked together. "I really could get used to this." he says quietly. I look over at him. He has a smirk on his face. We walk around a corner and stay silent for a bit. "Want to play twenty questions?" Louis asks me. We arrive at a dark playground. The sun hadn't set yet, but the park looked closed. "Sure." I say. "Let's go over here." he suggests, leading me to the jungle gym. We climb up and sit together at the top.
"Can I go first?" I ask quietly. He nods. We sit across from each other, facing together. "Have you ever been to a school dance with a girl?" I ask him. He smiles. I instantly regret the question. "Yeah. But never as a serious date." he tells me. I look down at my hands, feeling more and more shy by the second. "Why are you so shy?" he asks me. I smile, trying to think how to answer. "I don't really know. I just feel like I need to hide rather than try to fit in. I never have ,so why try now?" I tell him. I look up at him. His gaze is locked on me, observing everything I say. "Were you freaked out when I kissed you last night?" I blurt out suddenly. I don't know why I asked it, I just wanted to know how he felt. He looks baffled. "No. I thought it was awesome! Were you freaked out?" he asks me. I shake my head. "No. I just wanted to know how you felt." I tell him. We stay silent for a moment. I can feel him looking at me.
"Uhh. How long have you been playing soccer?" I ask him, changing the subject. "About twelve years? I started when I was six. Have you ever played a sport?" he asks me. "I did ballet for four years. That's about it." I say. "What is one thing you want to do before you die?" I ask him. He thinks for a moment. "Become a dad." he tells me. I smile. "Do you want to have kids?" he asks me. "Definitely. How many would you want?" I ask him. "I think I would just see how it goes. How ever many my wife would want. How about you?" he asks. He sits up, and turns, stretching his legs out. He props himself up on his elbows. I can't help but let my eyes wander to where his shirt has ridden up, the black band of his boxers showing above his jeans. I quickly draw my attention to the other side of the jungle gym. "Uhh! I'm not sure." I blurt out. "So I'm assuming you want to get married?" I ask. He grins. "Yeah." he says quietly. He looks away and then back at me, locking are eyes together. He smirks. "Are you a virgin?" he asks suddenly. My eyes go wide. I pull my knees up, keeping my dress draped over them and bury my face in my hands. "Lou?!" I groan in embarrassment. He sits up fully and bumps me with his shoulder, sitting right next to me. "It's just me. You don't have to be shy or embarrassed with me." he says encouragingly. I stay quiet. "Lil." he says, not giving up. "Yes! Okay?!" I blurt put, still not looking at him. "Ask me." he says. "What?" I ask shocked. I look over at him. He gives me a knowing look. "I know you want to know." he tells me. I smirk at him. "Okay Lou. Are you a virgin?" I ask. He gives me a smile. "Yep." he answers. He laughs. "Really?!" I shout. He laughs harder and nods. I laugh with him. "I wouldn't lie to you." he says seriously, after he stops laughing. I look at him.
"Will you sit in my lap?" Louis asks suddenly. I give him a confused look. "Really?" I question. He pulls on my arm. I scoot over slightly and Louis pulls me on top of him. I sit awkwardly with my legs over his thigh. "Why am I sitting in your lap?" I ask him. He places his arms around my torso. "Because I like having you close to me." he says quietly. I just stare at him. This whole moment was so odd. Never in a million years did I think I would end up in Louis Tomlinson's lap.
"Are you really a football fan now?" Louis asks me. I smile. "I got a Giggs jersey this morning. So... Do you remember your first kiss?" I ask him. He chuckles lightly. "Yeah. It was pretty awful. Happened freshman year with some girl named Deena. Wasn't special." he tells me. "What's your favorite song right now?" he asks me. "Umm. Probably 'Give Me Love' by Ed Sheeran." I tell him. He smiles. "I love that song." he says. "Will you sing for me sometime?" I ask him. I look him in the eyes. He smiles, making the crinkles appear by his eyes. "Defiantly." he tells me.
I mirror his smile and reach over to touch the little crinkles that appear every time he really smiles. I trace my fingers over them. His smile slowly fades and I'm left touching his face. "Will you kiss me again?" he whispers softly.
