"So, how are we supposed to bring peace to the clans, exactly?" Duskpaw asked, twitching his tail in a confused manor. Beepaw had just spent the past ten minutes explaining to him about this prophecy she was supposed to fulfill.

"I don't know! That's why I want you to help me! If I knew how to fix it, I'd do it myself... maybe then my clan won't hate me for killing Brookstar, and maybe Hawkclaw would actually treat me with some respect..." Beepaw trailed off. It was useless. Neither her nor Duskpaw knew what to do about this prophecy. And anyways, they were only two apprentices. How were they supposed to complete this prophecy by themselves?

"Beepaw, calm down," Duskpaw meowed, "We'll figure this out. SpiritClan wouldn't assign a prophecy to you that you couldn't complete."

"But, if that's the case, then why is SpiritClan making my life so hard? Why did they make my clan hate me?"

"Everything SpiritClan does is for a reason, hey, maybe if you hadn't ran away from your clan, you wouldn't have ran into me!"

"True... I just... I don't know. I don't how I'm supposed to bring peace to the clans when I just murdered someone! I can't just go running into a gathering and yell, 'we must all be peaceful to one another!'"

"Well, maybe you're not meant to solve this prophecy now. Maybe when you get older you'll know what to do," Duskpaw meowed.

"And what am I supposed to do until then? Go around scavenging for food, living in some abandoned hole in the ground for moons to come? I couldn't survive like that!"

"Well, I don't see any other option, since I doubt I could persuade you to go back to your clan. But, maybe I could sneak off at night, drop some food by where you're staying, and then sneak back? And when I have the time, we could discuss some ideas about how we could fulfill this prophecy?"

"Well... okay. But if you get caught, remember this was your idea!" Beepaw hissed playfully.

"Okay, okay! Anyways, I have to go now. My clan will probably be wondering where I am! Oh, and I've heard that there's a fox in the area, so I recommend you go find your home somewhere far away from here," Duskpaw meowed.

"Okay, but how will you find me?"

"Let's meet at where the gatherings are held! There won't be another gathering for another few days, so we should be safe."

    "And when?"

    "The day after tomorrow."

    "Okay, bye then!"

    "Bye!"

Now filled with a renewed hope, Beepaw set off in search for a place to stay. She didn't want to be anywhere near WingedClan territory, and she couldn't be by LightningClan territory due to the fox being there, and she most certainly wouldn't be tolerated anywhere near WaterClan territory, so the only option she had was to hide in DarkClan territory.

Taking a deep breath, she began to make her way through the forest hoping she wouldn't be found. Though WingedClan and DarkClan were allies, she didn't want DarkClan to find her and return her to her clan.

Eventually, she reached the border of DarkClan territory, she decided she would stay close to the border, because otherwise it just seemed disrespectful. She felt bad for even crossing the border, let alone living in their territory. But this was the only option she had left. Sure, she could just completely leave the area, but it would be torture for Duskpaw to travel that far. So this would have to do.

Finally managing to settle down under a small crevice under a rock, Beepaw fell asleep, wondering what the next day would bring...
