Beepaw felt a sudden rush of fresh air race through her fur. The black and orange tortoiseshell apprentice looked up to the sky. It was all dark and starry. Some cats whose fur was barely visible could be seen hunting, while other youngers ones were jut playing and teasing one another.

The former WingedClan apprentice gazed at each starry-pelt. Had she already joined SpiritClan?

"Your time has yet to come."

Beepaw jumped, her fur bristling at the sound of the voice. She was relieved to see that it was only Twigheart, "Don't ever scare me like that!" she hissed, letting her fur fall back into place.

"You have a lot to do, young one," the SpiritClan tom continued as he ignored what Beepaw had told him.

"Yeah, yeah. I know I have to bring peace and blah, blah, blah," the black and orange tortoiseshell apprentice sighed, her eyes filled with... sadness? Anxiety? Stress? "I doubt there'll ever even be peace, that seems nearly impossible as of now..."

"You were born to accomplish the prophecy; you will find a way to bring peace."

"And how am I supposed to do that? Am I supposed to gather all the clans and just say, 'let's be best friends and make peace!' while jumping around everywhere like some kit that just left the nursery?" Beepaw said sarcastically, "Even Duskpaw doesn't know how he can help."

"Of course not," Twigheart growled, "You must take this seriously. Your life and the life of every clan cat depends on you."

"Dung, thanks for the help," the she cat muttered, "Very useful." She was silent for a moment, then looked away to stare at her paws, "I never should've become a 'paw'. I just mess everything up. I can't make my clan proud of me, not even my own mentor."

"Hawkclaw has his own reasons to be that way, and you'll soon learn more about him than you ever did."

"Wait, wha-" Beepaw was speechless. What was Twigheart talking about? Did cats lose their minds once they joined SpiritClan or something? "I already know about my former mentor enough though, why would I need to know more?"

But Twigheart had already disappeared.
