"And that's what happened!"
"I see," Beepaw meowed.

Even though the tortoiseshell apprentice saw what happened at the gathering, she still let Mousepaw describe it, due to her not knowing that she was spying on them. Which, thinking about it now, seemed like a terrible mistake. Everyone could've caught her, or worse, WaterClan could've murdered her if it weren't for Duskpaw. And if not that, she could be stuck at WingedClan camp, dealing with the consequences.

"Oh, by the way, I'm sure my mentor wouldn't mind if you come with us for a little training," Mousepaw added, "You could also watch me do my assessment so then you can see how it works. After all, you're like, a member of DarkClan now, right?"

Yes, but I don't plan on staying forever, Beepaw thought, though she still nodded in agreement to her new friend.

"Mousepaw, come on. We're going!" a masculine voice called from the vine tunnel.

The gray apprentice turned to Beepaw, and with the tip of her tail told the tortoiseshell cat to follow her to where the tom was waiting.

"Oh, and by the way, Tuffypaw," he said, glaring at the former WingedClan apprentice, "I discussed with Hollowstar about finding you a new mentor, maybe you'd actually like going to his den right now?" It was more of an order than an option.

"Can't she come with us instead, Alderbreeze?" Mousepaw begged to her mentor.

"You're the one who's about to become a warrior, not her," Alderbreeze reminded her in a gentle voice. It almost made Beepaw envious. She'd never heard that voice from Hawkclaw. This cat was the greatest nightmare of the young she cat. All she wished was that she had never met his threatening gaze.

"Anyways, we better go now," Alderbreeze meowed, sending Beepaw flooding out of her thoughts, "Do you want someone to show you where Hollowstar's den is?" he then asked the tortoiseshell she.

"I'm sure I'll find it by myself," Beepaw replied, "good luck on your assessment!" she then added to Mousepaw, watching as she and her mentor padded away from the camp.

The former WingedClan apprentice then walked toward Hollowstar's den, which was behind her. Once she came in, the DarkClan leader raised his head.

"Tuffypaw," he greeted her.

"You wanted to see me?" Beepaw asked, starting to feel a little uncomfortable with her code name. But she had to use it, for her own safety.

"Indeed," Hollowstar replied, "you're officially one of us now, at least that's what I hope, and I've decided to ask Willowfrost to be your new mentor."

Beepaw nodded.

"You won't be restarting your apprenticeship though," the black leader added, "this is only to check out your skills, and if Willowfrost thinks you're ready, I'll give you your warrior name."

"Where is Willowfrost, by the way? I've never seen her before," Beepaw asked.

"In a patrol, but I'm pretty sure she'll be back soon. You may go do something else while you wait, if you'd like."

"Alright," Beepaw meowed in response before walking away. Once she left, a decision came to mind.

I need to find Duskpaw.
