On Monday, I was so happy to see Missy when I got to work, but we were so busy that I didn't get a chance to really talk to her. When lunch time came around, she and I decided to try out a new restaurant not too far from the boutique.

Once we were seated by the hostess, I looked over the menu, and I told Missy that I was just going to order a salad.

*Missy*

That's it?? I would've thought you'd want more than that.

*Ciana*

No, I've been snacking throughout the entire morning.

*Missy*

I noticed that.

*Ciana*

Yeah, so that brings me to some news that I'd like to share with you.

*Missy*

I'm looking forward to hearing this.

*Ciana*

Why??

*Missy*

Why not?? There's always something interesting going on with you, Ciana.

*Ciana*

I guess. Well...I'm pregnant.

*Missy*

Uh huh.

*Ciana*

And, of course, by Dezman.

*Missy*

Well, I know that! He's the only guy you've talked about since you've been here, and you're engaged to him for goodness' sake. What did you think? You thought that I'd think it was the guy that delivers lunch to the boutique sometimes for us?!

*Ciana*

Like always, Missy has me giggling so much.

*Missy*

No, all jokes aside. I kind of figured that you were, to be honest, and I'm so happy for you guys. You've got that glow going on that you hear about when someone becomes pregnant.

*Ciana*

How did you know that I was actually expecting, though?? I mean, I know you mentioned that I'm glowing, but it could have just been a good highlighter that I've added to my makeup regimen for a super-enhanced look.

*Missy*

It's not that hard to tell. Not to me anyway, because you're also gaining weight in your stomach area already, and I can see the difference in how you move around the boutique sometimes. I've just picked up on the signs of how much more tired you seem to be, or how often you may mention that you aren't feeling how you normally would be.

*Ciana*

I noticed some changes too. I just didn't put two and two together. I wish you would have just shaken me and told me to go take a test. Maybe I wouldn't have looked so crazy at the doctor's office.

*Missy*

I'm sure you didn't look crazy at all. Why would you look crazy?

*Ciana*

I was convinced that it was something else. I was seeing the doctor for a completely different reason. I wasn't supposed to be able to conceive so easily.

*Missy*

That means that your man has some superior sperm, then. That's good.

*Ciana*
