Tonight is like every other single night of my life! Babysitting Holly Wheeler! I mean it's not bad because it helps me pay for things like soda, clothes, etc. The Wheelers live on Maple Street so they're pretty rich!
Hawkins, Indiana is a very boring town, we aren't like the other towns! We're just there... no monuments... no flashy lights... nothing! Hawkins is as forgotten as I am... Sophie Harrington, the brother of Steve Harrington who's also the KING of Hawkins High. I just live in his shadow as everybody praises him & all I feel is insecure... and like I'm nothing.
I mean I do girls volleyball, but my parent's forced me! They said a rich girl needs to play sports! They always heckle me about that &... how I'm not as popular as Steve or as perfect. How he has a million friends while I don't... but sorry I stick to myself because I feel so insecure about myself & feel like someone's gonna stab me in the back.
ANYWAYS! Back to the Wheeler family!
Mrs. Wheeler is super sweet & Mr. Wheeler doesn't seem to give a shit! Holly has two siblings, Nancy Wheeler who is upstairs, & Michael Wheeler who's downstairs with his little middle school friends! "Hi Mrs. Wheeler!" I said joyfully as her & Mr. Wheeler entered.
"Hi, Sophie, you, ok? You look so tired!" Mrs. Wheeler commented.
I laughed. "Volleyball practice was earlier today... anyways Holly is asleep! Everything this seems peaceful around here... but uhm Mike is up still!"
BANG! Mrs. Wheeler went to the basement door & opened it! "MIKE!"
"Mom we're in the middle of a campaign!" Mike argued.
"You mean the end?! 15 after!" She spoke back!
I laughed as Mike ran up the stairs. "Mom wait! Just 20 more minutes!"
"It's a school night Michael... You can finish next weekend!"
Mike groaned. "But That'll ruin the flow!"
"Michael-" Mrs. Wheeler hit back.
I chuckled at Mike. "You heard your mother, Michael! Haha..."
Mike rolled his eyes & looked back at his mother. "I'm serious mom! The campaign took two weeks to plan!" ... "How was I supposed to know it was gonna take ten hours?"
"You've been playing for 10 hours?!"
Shit! I didn't know that! Ugh anyways- their campaign is over now so everything's fine. I totally won't get in trouble for that! I got the rest of my things.
