Me, & Derek walked to his house. Today has been a very dramatic day to say the best! There's a mystery going on & it connects to that girl... Tomorrow morning at the earliest I'll go to see her! I walked inside & got comfortable in Derek's room. "I didn't know you lived down the street from the Wheelers."
Derek nodded as he sat on his bed. "Yeah, but my parents never interact with them..."
I noticed his D&D board & walkie-talkie. "You play D&D? And you have a walkie-talkie?!"
He chuckled as he walked over to it. "Yeah actually- It's really nerdy! The walkie-talkie I used a few years back... it's really old!"
"No, it's fun- it's really cute too! Also you read 'The Outsiders'! Which is my favorite book of all time! I wish I could do the stuff you do... all I do is sit at home after volleyball & listen to ABBA... My anxiety refuses me to do any acting... plus being put down my parents... etc."
"Screw your parents Sophie... maybe if there's a spot open for ensemble you can do it with me... together! Also there's a girl just like you named Angel! You too could be great friends."
I nodded. "Sounds nice... I'll think about it!"
Derek stared at me. "So what's your favorite ABBA song?"
I shrugged. "'Dancing Queen'... it's everything I wish I could be! Free & no worries in life!"
"Well, mine is 'Lay Down All Your Love On Me'... Makes me wish I had a girlfriend- all the girls in band & the musical are looking at the jocks!"
I laughed. "All the jocks are douchebags..."
"That's what I'm saying! Anyways- if you're staying over do you need any clothes for tomorrow?"
I shook my head. "No, I have my gym clothes I can wear with jeans... thanks for asking though."
"Of course... it's my pleasure my lady!"
"My lady... you do sound nerdy but it's- cute!"
He smiled at me softly. "Uhm... thanks!"
"So do you know what to do on the geometry work we got today?" He asked.
I shrugged. "I mean yes- it's so complicated though that I can barely explain it! I'm more english & history smart than science & math smart."
Derek nodded. "Same! Another thing we relate to! How cool is that..."
