"Just a question, is the fox mated yet or not?" I asked as I looked at Archie and Calvin. "Hm? No he isn't, although I did heard he had countless females wanting him to be their mate but he rejected them" Calvin answered making me nod.
"Hm, alright" I mumbled making Archie raise a brow at me before smirking. "Oh? So my little mate now wants to target the fox king?" He chuckled making me huff.
"So what if I am? Plus that was original goal before deciding to stay here" I said making him nod. "Well, it would be great if he did become your mate, that's an extra protection for you" Lucas muttered from besides Kei.
"Yeah it would be great, but there's a fifty fifty chance that he would accept me or not, depending on I act and behave" I said and began thinking of a plan to maybe gain the attention of the fox king when I'm at the city.
'Well, even if he doesn't become my mate, I'm sure I can gain some new mates from the contest and maybe if I get lucky I can have another prince' I thought with a sigh before shaking my head.
'Now now Sera, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's just wait and see what will happen' I thought and also tried recalling some of the original mates of Sera and Cassie.
'Hmm.. If I remember correctly Cassie has a fox mate she met while she was visiting Blackwood city. I wonder if she already has him' I thought as I tried to recall what he looked like and what his name was.
"What are you thinking about little mate?" Tora asked making me look at him with a smile. "Just, which mate to steal from Cassie in the original novel. She did have some strong mates" I muttered which some confused gazes from Xavier and Calvin.
"By Cassie, do you mean that nasty fox last time? If they're already her mate how are you gonna steal them? Males can only have one mate and they're really loyal to the female they choose" Xavier said and Calvin just nodded, really not knowing who Cassie was.
"Ah right, I still haven't told you about this" I said and spend the next hour explaining to them where I came from and what I meant.
During that time, they also questioned me about some things which I answered.
"I'm sorry if I kept this a secret until now. I just wanted to keep myself safe" I said making both of them sigh and smile at me.
"Don't worry about such little things little mate. We understand why you kept this a secret" Xavier said with a smile.
"His right, don't worry about it" Calvin said making me sigh in relief. "I'm glad that you both understand and accept it" I said making them both nod.
"But the female you describe in the book and the female I saw were completely different. I thought she was a kind female how pathetic. Don't worry little mate, it doesn't matter who her mates will be, we're here to protect you" Xavier said making me nod.
"And me and Archie do know a couple of strong males, and they're all still unmated, you might have a chance with them when we get to the city" Calvin said with a grin.
"Hmm, some of my brothers are also strong. With some having five, four or six star" Xavier muttered to himself making me chuckle.
"Alright² let's just talk about that later. Though I would like to know those males" I said making my mates snicker. "Pfft, your really determined on finding strong male huh" Tora said making me hum.
"Of course! Knowing my future I don't wanna risk anything. Especially the safety of my future cubs and myself of course" I said making them nod.
"Your right, so... when are you planning on getting the wolf?" Kei muttered making me raise a brow at him with a smirk. "Maybe tomorrow? Or the day after that? Who knows maybe he might be the one who will court me" I shrugged making him pout.
"Aw, come on now Kei. Don't worry about it okay? No matter how many wolf mates I will take in the future, your still my favorite" I said making him beam as his tail wagged furiously behind him.
With that, we enjoyed the rest of our morning. Sharing stories about things they did to earn their stars and me sharing stories about the world I came from.
[ meanwhile ]
"Just how useless can you be?! Such a simple thing to catch yet you can't even get me those fawns?" Cassie sneered as she looked at one of her wolf mates who had his ears down and tail tucked in his legs.
"Cassie, I'm sorry.. I'll do better" the wolf whimpered out as he pleaded with his mate. "Tsk.. One more mistake and you can get lost when I cut your mark" she grumbled making the wolf flinch at the mention of his mark being cut.
"Cassie! Please I'll do anything. Just don't cut my mark, please" the wolf begged making Cassie shrug. "Then go get me what I want, and don't even think of returning without it" She said and turned around.
Watching her back walk back to the main bedroom, the wolf shifted into his beast form and rushed out.
"Cassie, please don't be angry" Jason and Mark cooed at their mate, trying to ease her anger even just by a little bit.
"Yes, yes. Please don't get angry Cassie. I bought you a piece of jewelry" Luka said as he presented a necklace made of pearls in front of Cassie.
This seemed to work as Cassie took the necklace and inspected it before nodding. The males in the bedroom sigh in relief that she wasn't angry anymore and went to pamper her more.
"Cassie, do you wanna go out? The day of the competition is nearing. It's better if a few males saw you now and some of them will surely willing court you" Lance said making Cassie think for a moment before nodding.
"Alright" she nodded and Jason rushed in to pick her up before the other males can.
"Let's go" she said and they went out, leaving three to four males in the house to guard it.
[ Back to Sera... ]
"Wow, your world seems so cool" Kei said making me nod. "Mhm it is, but not cool as your. I haven't seen any animals that exist here back in my world" I said making them nod.
"What kind of animals didn't exist in your world?" Tora asked, a little curious to know more about my world.
"Well, we certainly don't have any pink or purple foxes" I laughed before continuing. "And the anklyous? We don't have them to. The closest thing we have are dinosaurs which are gone now" I said making them nod.
"Why are they gone? Did the 'humans' hunt them all down?" Carlos asked making me shake my head. "No, they dinosaurs in our world lived before we even existed. They were all wiped out by a giant rock that fell from the sky" I explained making them tilt their heads.
"If they lived before you guys, how did you know they existed?" Lucas asked. "We discovered their bones buried deep in the ground, we also found other countless fossils that proved they roamed in earth before us" I explained making them nod.
"Interesting" they mumbled making me chuckle. "Is there anything else you want to know?" I tilted my head and looked at them.
"Is it really true that the ratio of females and males there are almost the same? And females only need one mate?" Rio asked making me hum.
"That's right" I answered making them wonder about that.
And just as we were happily sharing stories, my stomach suddenly growls making me blush in embarrassment as I realized it was already noon.
"Oh my, I didn't notice it was already lunch time" I chuckled as my stomach let out another growl. "Alright² little mate, I'll go hunt some food" Carlos chuckled making me huff.
"Just wait for me and I'll be back in a few minutes" Carlos said before leaving.
'Hm, I wonder what he'll catch' I thought to myself and began to wonder what Carlos will bring for lunch today.
