Arthur yawned as he stopped outside Bianca's bedroom door. He knocked. "Bianca? I heard you get up a bit ago. Are you still awake?"
"Yes." She replied.
"Do you want some coffee?"
She opened the door. "Yes, please. I'll be down in a minute. I just need to brush my hair."
He nodded before headed downstairs.

She walked beside him. They laughed and talked as they made their way to the office building.
He stopped across the street of the City Hall building and began to rummage through his pockets.
She stopped and turned around. "Everything all right, Arthur?"
"I'm fine. Snug as a bug on a drug." He snickered.
She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Really?" She replied, looking over at him.
Despite the smiling mask covering her face, he could see the annoyance in her eyes, but mainly he could hear it in her voice.
He snickered again. "Don't look at me like that."
"Like what?"
"You know good and well what kind of expression you got hiding under that mask."
She smiled and laughed gently. "Don't respond to me with that nonsense, then! You know I don't like it. What are you looking for?"
"My bottle of... ah." He pulled a bottle of Joy from his inside pocket. "I need to get another one of these in my system before I get in there." He took a pill out before looking at her. "Have you taken yours?"
She smiled nervously. "Yeah." She lied as she clutched her purse with both hands. "I took one this morning, and then another before we left the house."
He cocked an eyebrow behind his mask, looking at her oddly. "Bianca, don't lie to me!"
"I'm..I'm not!"
"I know you are, little sister! I can hear it in your voice! No matter what you try to hide from me, your eyes and your voice will always give you away."
She sighed and looked away from him, lowering her head. "I left my bottle in my locker."
"Bianca, that is extremely dangerous. You should not be walking around without Joy on your person, let alone without it in your system." He whispered angrily.
"I know, Arthur!!" She nearly cried as she looked back up at him. "It's just..." She took a glance towards the building, spotting two Constables chatting as they passed by. She lowered her voice. "I..I just forgot to grab it last night."
"Is this becoming a habit? I know it's not the first time you've been without Joy?"
"No!"
"Here, then. Take one of mine."
"No, I'll take it when I get in there."
"Do it before you are caught." He gestured her ahead of him. "I'll be there in a minute." He said as he moved to the nearby water fountain.
She nodded and hung her purse over her right shoulder, making her way up the steps as he popped the Joy into his mouth and then drank from the fountain.
Outside the door stood a Constable. He stood straight and tall, his muscular arms crossed over his broad chest.
She scanned his body, seeing a revolver on his hip and smiled. "Good morning, Constable Banister!" Other then his name tag, she knew it was him because he was the only Constable in their building that carried a revolver.
He was usually patrolling the halls with his partner but it wasn't uncommon to find him posted at the entrance.
Recognizing her voice, he looked at her as he quickly uncrossed his arms and bowed slightly. "Good morning, Miss Bianca!" He opened the door. "Allow me, darling!"
Her smile deepened behind her mask as she started past him. He was roughly six foot and three inches tall. Even with her high heels she barely reached his shoulders. She had never seen his face but something about him attracted her. She felt drawn to him in many different ways. "Thank you!" She blinked slowly as she turned her eyes to lock on his.
He could feel his heart beginning to race in his chest. Her gaze was so alluring!
They both had feelings for each other. Bianca was unaware that he liked her, but Duncan knew she liked him. She dropped so many hints even though she didn't realize it.
She could feel her cheeks heating up as she looked away from him, continuing on her way.
"The pleasure is all mine, darling!" He followed her with his eyes, watching her shapely figure. Her dress hugged her nice hips and firm ass beautifully. His eyes glided down her slender legs. The amount of desires he had for her nearly clouded his mind. Just the sound of her voice was enough to get his blood pumping.
Someone cleared their throat suddenly.
He immediately righted himself and looked at Arthur who was now in front of him.
"That is my sister, Constable Banister." He said in a snarky tone. "Please refrain from eyeballing her with such intensity in my presence."
"My apologies, Mr. Hastings." He gestured into the building. "Allow me to hold the door for you."
"Thank you." He replied as he started past him.
"Of course, Sir."
Arthur wanted to laugh, though he did well not to. It was rather humorous seeing a Constable behaving as if he were caught with his hands a cookie jar. He stopped and looked back at him. "Constable Banister, it is obvious that you like my sister. I would like to invite you over for dinner Friday night, if you are interested? Perhaps it would be a more relaxing atmosphere for you two to get to know each other?"
Duncan nodded. "I would like that very much. Thank you, Mr. Hastings!"
"My pleasure!"
Bianca had stopped and looked back at them. She waved at Duncan as Arthur approached her.
He waved back and returned to his post.
She turned her eyes to her brother. "What did you say to him, Arthur?"
"Nothing." He lied, a large smile hidden behind his mask.
"Sure didn't look like nothing to me!"
"Don't worry your pretty little head, Bianca!"
She narrowed her eyes at him. "If Constable Banister wasn't literally standing right over there, I'd punch you." She stated in an aggravated whisper.
He chuckled. "Come Friday night, if that is still how you feel, then you may punch me."
"What did you do, Arthur?!"
"You'll just have to wait and see, Bianca."
She sighed heavily. "Fine! I guess I'll see you around lunchtime."
He nodded and went on his way.
Once he veered off toward his office, she continued down the hall. The place was a mess. "It's a wonder we still get work done around here." She thought, stepping over a pile of paper. She stopped at the break room door before slowly pushing it open. She looked into the room and then down the hall to make sure she was alone before entering. She closed the door behind her and made a beeline to her locker where she pulled out the bottle of Joy. She then made her way to the sink. She took a glance over her shoulder before removing her mask and laying it on the counter along with her purse and the bottle of Joy. She looked in the mirror at her reflection. She had stopped taking the Joy nearly two weeks ago but thankfully she didn't look it. Her skin was still radiant and beautiful unlike the Downers who's skin became a grayish hue due to their sickly appearance. She looked over at the bottle before grabbing it and shaking a pill from it. Taking a glance around the break room to ensure she was still alone, she pulled the pill apart and dumped the powdered contents into the sink. She then pushed the pill back together and laid it beside her mask as she went about washing the powder down the drain, then pretended to wash her hands. She shut off the water and shook her hands before running them over her blond hair to flatten down the random frizz. She then gathered her long hair into a ponytail.
"What are you doing, my dear?" A familiar male voice spoke suddenly.
