The memories all came flooding back at once as she locked eyes with Charles. She could feel herself being sucked into his icy blue irises as they gazed back at her from behind his sneering mask. She began to tremble. He was the first one to rape her. She couldn't forget those eyes! His laughter soon echoed in the back of her head. He was also the one who smacked her repeatedly. There was so much anger and resentment behind each slap of his hand.
His sneer grew wider. "You remember me don't you, sweetheart." He thought. The memory of her naked body cuffed to Duncan's bed was forever imprinted in his mind. Hearing her cry and beg, and then hearing her scream; it was all so beautiful. Then, the memory of fucking her, just that thought alone was making him excited.
A large bolt of lightning scattered across the sky behind the Constables suddenly, making her jump and pulled her out of her trance.
Duncan took a glance down at her, feeling her tremble. "She's scared?" He thought before looking back up at his fellow Constables.
They both chuckled.
"It's just a little storm, sweetheart." Thomas asserted, his eyes looking down at her condescendingly. "No need to be afraid." He mocked.
She looked over at him, her eyes locking on his dark blue eyes as she subconsciously took another step back.
Duncan looked back down at her. He could hear her breaths becoming more labored and shaky. He wrapped his arm around her, pulling her against him. He leaned forward slightly to look her in the eyes. "Are you afraid of the storm, darling?" He asked in a whisper.
She slowly turned her eyes to him as she wrapped her arms around his waist. She swallowed hard before nodding her head. "Ye..Yes." She lied.
He cocked an eyebrow behind his mask. He knew she was lying. He knew she was afraid of his fellow Constables, but for what reason? It had been months since anyone had been looking for her. They considered her to be "on holiday" and, after hearing that news, she began to relax. She was no longer afraid to go outside with him. Why be scared now? In fact, she had been perfectly fine before they came around. His eyes widened slightly. "It was them?!" He thought. "They hurt her?! That has to be it!!"
Charles and Thomas both chuckled.
"Don't be afraid of a mere thunderstorm, sweetheart." Charles taunted. "There are worse things to fear!" He stated as he stared down at her, his eyes and tone of voice conveying a message.
She dug her fingers into Duncan's coat. She understood his message clearly.
Duncan took a glance at them. "Her behavior is very clear, and the fact that she is acting this way in front of them and they are saying nothing is quite suspicious." He thought as he righting himself. He wanted to ball up his fists and tear them apart right then and there but he kept himself under control. "Please excuse us, gentlemen." He said suddenly, trying his hardest to keep his voice normal. "We best find some cover before it starts raining. Have a good evening, Charles. And you as well, Thomas."
They nodded as Duncan lead Bianca away from them.
Once they were out of earshot, Thomas leaned close to Charles. "It's such a shame he is so over protective of her now." He whispered. "I'm not surprised though."
"I know. I got a taste of her, and it was such a tease. I am craving her." Charles whispered back.
"What if she tells him?"
"I doubt she will. She's terrified."
"Charles, what if she does? You know he will come after us."
"Us against him, Thomas."
"That won't stop him."
"Calm down. I don't think he'd be dumb enough to try and take us both."
"We are talking about the same man here, right, Charles? Duncan can very easily take us down."
He chuckled. "Maybe you." He stated, glancing at him before looking back at Bianca. "I want her for myself!" He thought.
They watched them until they were completely out of sight.
Duncan pulled Bianca into the nearest Joy Booth, closing the door behind them.
"Darling, are you okay?" He asked as he took off her mask before lowering it to the small counter and taking her cheeks, gently lifting her head. "I know you're not afraid of the storm. You've never been afraid of them. What's wrong?"
Not only was she trembling and breathing hard but he could see the terror in her eyes clear as day, and her face had no color to it whatsoever. That was a very clear indication that they were responsible but he needed her to tell him.
"Bianca? Baby?" He leaned closer. "You're scaring me. What's wrong? Talk to me! Was it them...?"
"It was them!" She nearly cried, interrupting him as she grabbed his upper arms with her trembling hands. "They're the ones that..that hurt me!"
"You are absolutely sure?"
"Yes! Their voices... I....I can't get them out of my head, Duncan! I can still hear them laughing!" She began to cry. "It was them! I will never forget those cold, icy blue eyes!" Tears soon poured down her cheeks. "He was the first one to....force himself onto me! He was the one who hit me! He hit me so many times!!"
The pain in her words was heart wrenching but it wasn't just her words, it was also the pain in her eyes. He pulled her into his arms. He had done everything he could to protect her but he never thought something like that would happen. The fact that two of his fellow Constables had betrayed him, and they were ones he considered to be his closest friends, was extremely disheartening! Worse yet, because of what they chose to do to her, they emotionally damaged his beloved wife and betrayed him in the worst way possible!
She buried her face in his coat, sobbing against his chest.
He looked at the Joy dispenser. "There's only one way to help ease her." He thought. "I don't want to break this promise but it's the only way." He reached over and turned one of the three knobs, making a Chocolate Joy pill pop out. "Darling?"
She looked up at him.
He held his right hand toward her.
She sniffled before looking down at the brown pill in his gloved hand.
"Just this once? I want you to forget about what they did to you. I know it won't make things right but it will make you feel better, even just for a moment."
"It won't hurt the baby?"
"No."
She took the pill in her fingers as she looked back up at him. A tear trickled down her left cheek. "Okay." She whispered before popping it into her mouth.
He handed her a small water battle which she drank from, swallowing the pill.
He took her cheeks as she pulled the bottle from her lips. "I will bring you home and then deal with them." He whispered as he wiped her tears. "I am going to make them pay! They will wish they had never touched you!" He nearly growled.
As soon as those words were spoken, she could feel the Joy begin to take effect on her. She giggled and pressed her face to his chest.
He took her into his arms, pulling her into a hug. "I love you, Bianca!"
She giggled again and looked up at him. "I know, silly! I love you too!!"
He smiled behind his mask before grabbing hers and putting it back over her face. He then lifted her into his arms, carrying her out of the Joy Booth and down the path towards their house.
She laid her head against his shoulder as she looked up at the sky and began to hum softly.
A rather large bolt of lightning scattered across the sky above them suddenly.
Her eyes widened in awe. "Whoa!!" She gasped. "It's so pretty!!"
He chuckled gently.
A drop of rain hit her forehead just above her mask, making her blink in surprise. "Oh no! We're going to get wet!!" She started giggling as she began to swing her legs slightly. She looked at him. "Duncan?"
"Yes, darling?" He looked at her before turning his eyes back to the path before him.
She wrapped her arms around his neck before her right hand began to play with the base of his hair. "I'm getting worked up!"
"What's getting you worked up, baby?"
She giggled. "You are, handsome! I want to make love!" She glided her left hand down his chest.
He raised his eyebrows. That was definitely not what he expected her to say, especially after what just happened. "Oh!!" He chuckled. "That kind of worked up!" He looked at her. "You better hold that thought a bit longer and let me get us home first, darling!" He stopped and pressed his masked forehead to hers. "I'll satisfy your desires, my love." He whispered.
"I love you." She whispered softly.
"I love you too, baby." He pulled his head back and continued carrying her.
She smiled behind her mask and laid her head against his shoulder, watching the lightning dance across the sky as he carried her in silence.
They made it back into town when the rain began to pick up as a loud clap of thunder echoed off the buildings, making them both jump slightly.
She lowered her eyes to look around the quiet, darkening town. "They say you see the oddest shadows in the street at night. I never look." She whispered as she closed her eyes and laid her head back against his shoulder.
"Don't worry, baby! I'll protect you!"
She giggled and lifted her head to look at him. "I know you will, my strong, handsome man!!"
