"Here." He handed her a mask. "I got you a new mask so we can go out for a walk. I'm sure you'd like some fresh air. Also, if you need anything, I wish for you to just ask me. It is safer for me to go out and get supplies, but if you absolutely need to leave this house, please only do so in an emergency, darling."
She took it from him and looked it over. It was slightly different from the one she had before. It had wide eyes, a small nose, and full, painted lips.
He took her cheeks and gently forced her to look up at him. "I do not wish to make you a prisoner here. This is your home as much as mine, but I would like you to stay inside at all times. I just want you to be safe. I cannot always be near you. It's far too dangerous out there for you. A simple mask and Sunshine may fool some of the general populace, but it won't fool the Criers. You can't get past the Joy Detectors or any other devices either. It, especially, won't fool the Doctors."
"I know." She replied softly.
He smiled and kissed her lips. "Speaking of Sunshine, I managed to get my hands on a couple more bottles. I find a lot of Downers seem to have some on their person. We usually have it destroyed."
"Don't get caught with it, Duncan!" She gasped.
He smiled. "As a Constable, I have all kinds of stuff on my person, darling. It's not unusual! We find stuff that doesn't belong in society, and we pick it up to have it disposed of." He released her and pulled the bottles from his pocket. "I will hide these with the others. Would you like to go for a walk before curfew? Most everyone is headed home now, so it should be pretty quiet. This evening has been blessed with a beautiful sunset, and a nice gentle breeze."
"I'd love to!"

"Lovely day for it, Constable Banister." A male voice spoke suddenly. "Enjoying this nice evening?"
Duncan turned to face the man. "Lovely day for it, Constable Withers. I am! You?"
"I am as well!" His eyes trailed to Bianca. "You are escorting a very lovely young woman!" He bowed slightly. "I wish I was as lucky to have such a beautiful woman on my arm!" He stated before rightening himself.
She blushed under the mask but at the same time, she was terrified. After everything that happened, and being labeled a Downer, she realized the Constables actually scared her the most. They were all violent and wanted nothing more then to eliminate anyone who refused to take Joy. The Doctors wanted to just force everyone to take Joy, even if it meant killing that person by experimenting on them. They didn't possess the bruit strength that the Constables did, and Duncan was no exception! Neither was this Constable standing before them. His height was slightly greater than Duncan's but his build was a little less pronounced.
Her heart thumped in her chest as she looked up at his sneering mask. She tried to calm herself down but it wasn't working.
He took a step toward her. "Good evening, Miss!" He spoke suddenly, interrupting her thoughts.
"Good evening, sir!" She replied immediately with as much enthusiasm as possible but her voice trembled slightly. Her grip on Duncan's arm became tighter as she tried to get closer to him.
"That is not a good reaction, baby!" He thought. "Oh, it is time for us to take some Joy. Please excuse us, Constable Withers?" Duncan spoke suddenly.
"Of course. Have a fine evening!"
"You as well!" Duncan held her shoulder as he escorted her toward the nearest Joy Booth.
"What are you doing?" She asked as he pushed her in ahead of him and closed the door behind them.
He took a glance over his shoulder to see his fellow Constable departing. He looked back down at her. "You have to be joyful when talking to anyone who approaches or they will know, my love."
"I know. I tried! I'm sorry. I'm so scared! Can we just go back to your house?"
He smiled beneath his mask. "Our house, baby! Of course, but first." He removed his right glove before turning one of three levers. A strawberry Joy pill popped out, dropping into his bare hand.
"Please, I don't want that."
"I know. Just pretend, for your safety. They are watching us, darling. Out here, they are always watching us."
He lifted her mask slightly and brought the pill to her lips. With a slight of hand, he gently pushed his finger between her lips, the pill hidden in his fist.
A slight smile touched her lips as she grabbed his hand. She then kissed and sucked on his finger.
He shuddered hard. It was a new and sensational feeling! He could feel his heart thump in his chest. He bit his lower lip. He wanted to kiss her right then and there. He wanted to thrust his tongue into her hot mouth and touch her body.
She slowly pulled his finger from her mouth.
He looked at her lips, watching her tongue glide across the soft flesh.
In the blink of an eye, he moved his mask enough to press his lips to hers. His tongue invaded her mouth but she welcomed it by pressing hers against it.
He moaned and held her cheeks as he tilted his head.
This feeling was far better then Joy. This was true happiness.
He pulled away from her suddenly, his breath had become almost labored as he looked around.
To their luck, no one was around to witness what they had done.
He could feel his body tremble slightly as he sighed and fixed his mask. "We better get home before someone sees us like this."
She giggled and fixed her mask before grabbing his coat at his waist and pressing her body against his sexually. "Mmmm, I desire you, Constable Banister!"
He swallowed hard. "As do I." He whispered, his hands following the curves of her hips. "Oh, god, do I ever desire you!"
