Your vision was filled with blurs from the moment you opened your eyes, for at least a good half a minute. You stood up quickly, ignoring the headache that beat against your head like a war drum.

When your eyes finally did focus, you had no idea what to think.

Am I dead? Where the fuck? Is this hell?

You put your fingers to your neck trying to find a pulse, and when you found one, you did the same again trying to find a heartbeat.

Am I alive? Then...

You were breathing still, you could see and think. You pinched yourself, yep, you could feel. You had a pulse, and your heart was still working.

The room around you was a dusty grey colour – not at all the type of hell you were expecting.

There were no fiery pits, no lava, and no devil condemning you for all of eternity. No wandering souls or other demons.

Nope, none of that.

Damn. No Sebastian, no Bill...

No—

Not the time.

Just a room that was painted semi-familiar void-like grey. Looking like it hadn't been cleaned (or even occupied for that matter) in years. The floor was a shade of lighter grey that had been interlaced with a soft blue.

There were a strange array of objects and paintings, too, cluttered around the floor or hung on the walls.

You didn't think you were in the art gallery anymore.

Not completely, anyway.

What in the backrooms-type shit is this?

You didn't move to inspect the paintings, but you could see that they – much like everything else in this weird room – were completely devoid of colour. There were two paintings on each wall.
