Sometime around 7:50 I'd rolled out of bed, set my clothes and prepped for school only to wake to my wheels all missing which I was certain I'd left on last night but Daddy said he'd go to the mechanic shop and have them fix it only for his wheels to all be flattened. I figured it was some homeless man who'd managed to slip onto our lawn and do the gruesome deed but then I wondered what would a homeless person want with two bicycle and four new car wheels that were completely done with.I questioned daddy about who he'd think it was that did it and he believed it was some type of animal and when I asked about my wheels he'd told me how he clearly recalled I undid them and brought them inside the house, which is something I may have done twice or thrice but I truly do not recall it but he assured me he watched me undo all two wheels for some reason and brought them in the house which I then questioned why wouldn't I just bring the bike into the house to which he said I wanted it out on the driveway.
My parents would never lie to me, but somehow I cannot recall that occurrence for the life of me
When I try to recollect the events that led up to last night I'm always flustered with going to my room, skipping dinner for just a glass of water and my vitamins, finishing some assignments and then falling into a deep sleep on my nook that just so happened to be right under my window until a cold draft woke me up sometime around 4 to which I returned to my bed.
Maybe it's because I'm a bit hungry, that some of my memories are absentminded?
"Paige!", a loud holler pulls my gaze to the camera lens.
"Oh sorry, I was just thinking"
"About last night again?", Avery lowers his hands, his gaze too preoccupied with the viewfinder.
"I don't know I just think it's all kinda weird, it's never happened before"
"There's always a first time for everything right?"
"I'm serious"He pads towards me, a playful smile on his face as he places a hand beneath my chin, tipping my gaze to the side where my view is now occupied with tall oak trees and a field full of grass and delicate dandelions. He chuckled softly and once he was finished positioning me where he'd liked, I heard his heavy footsteps pad back and the crunch of some dry leaves under him before a sigh another click came.
"So am I, you heard your parents, it was probably a stupid wild animal or something"
"Dogs aren't stupid and if that's true what about my bicycle wheels?", though I am a cat person myself.
"Like Mr. Harper said you probably left it in the house"
"But if I did where is it? I searched the house from top to bottom and yet no wheels. How does it just vanish off like-"
