"Why are you still ducking?"
"Because I can't let anyone see me", I whisper.
"Are you ashamed of people seeing you with me?", he pouts, jokingly though I'm a bit slow to get it.
My brows frown as I calculate it all in my head.
How can HIM of all people, simply assume that I'm ashamed of him which I find incredibly strange.
Seeing as he's quite the catch
"Don't be...... stupid", I say the words he's always seemed to throw my way to which his brows lift as his gaze darts back to the windshield.
"Where are we going"
"Don't worry about it"
My brows frown and I force myself to sit up, placing my bum on the seat my gaze rallies out to the tinted windows, sitting low on their chassis due to the concealed armoured plating as the sky reeks over a beige to a deep navy blue. The tinted windows rolled only an inch down as a slowed draft echoes back into the car, whipping the interior as the car lights reflect blaring white lights onto the road that sits in front of us, the road a pitch lane as cars pass by, the lights the only evidence of companionship. The roads, bleak with plots of greenery laying on the neighboring sides.
I've never been here before.
"Are you kidnapping me?"
"It's not kidnapping if you willfully get in the car, baby"
"Theo I'm serious"
His eyes roll, "we clearly can't do shit with your friends keeping a close fucking eye on us, now can't we?"
"So kidnapping me is what's best?!"
"Calm your ass down, I'm taking us to the West Side"
"West Side?", my brows lift.
"Yes", his glances my way, "have you ever been there before"
My head shakes.
"Only for sermons, I've never actually gotten to see it"
"This is why you have me", he smiles.
"Well what'll we be doing there", my mouth curves into a smile.
"Now why would I tell you that"
"Because I didn't know what I'm dressing for and what if I'm allergic to the food or something"
"You'll be fine ", he shrugs.
"Where are we going"
"Did I tell you how gorgeous you look even if I can't see what the fuck you're wearing"
