April, 4
It was the earliest of mornings that the sun stood in the center of the sky as per the noon sun, the trees rattled with life as the softest daintiest of wind ran through them, dancing with each gush, the air was purified by laughter, joy and a radiance of happiness I've ever seen grace Easton.
The town was alive and I found myself grinning along to it, the markets decorated with stalls perfected with the prettiest of flowers with vivid lively colors one wouldn't be able to ignore. Music swaying across from the road where a man of an ebony color and sheen on his skin basked in a colorful sleeveless V neck banged rapidly on drums as two younger boys of mine and Nyx's age began to break dance, spinning their skulls on the rough concrete road, swerving his palm against the ground he spun his entire body around whilst persons stood near clapping, laughing and others tossing the few cents they had into the drummer's hat.
The days that passed after the entirety of the Theo situation was the easiest of them all.
I felt happy
As a faint drift of wind blew through me, whipping my dress in the wind, I giggled
I haven't felt this way in awhile
Just as I predicted out came Jane, a cup of coffee in hand and her lips pursed together as she drew long breaths onto the small cardboard cup in hand, her eyes grazed across the streets only drawing her plump lips flat into a line and sighing to herself.
"Why are they keeping so much noise. I should tell my dad to get rid of those annoying vendors so we can shop in peace", she rolls her eyes.
"What no, they play so well and look how happy they all are"
"Fine", she sighs, "for you I will"
She hooks her arm around mine, dragging me along and pulling me away from the beautiful beats bashing in perfect rhythm that I actually want to dance to as someone who knows nothing about dancing, if only you'd mention a waltz.
I glance at her, pinching my mouth into a line before huffing and striding along to the market.
"Are you nervous about today?"
"You mean introducing you to my boyfriend, no"
"You sure? You seem nervous"
"You should be"
"And why is that?"
"Because I know you and whatever happens today I just want you to remember he makes me happy"
"He better, you've been hiding him for two months now. I didn't expect him to treat you like nothing else. Are you really happy with him?"
"I am", she smiles, inching close she cups my face in hand just before pecking a kiss on my forehead.
"I'm glad, the only thing that matters is that you grew out of that crush you had on Theo", I huffed as we arrived at the first stall.
Beneath a red tarp stands a beautiful stall of a cluster of colorful flowers, all in the most uniquely shades of colours all within a reasonable price range, pointing towards a beautiful bunch the shopkeeper rolled into a bouquet are the most beautiful crescent lilac lilies in the softest color that I considered whether they've been brushed in the daintiest lilac paint. The lady in a long floral skirt and a stripped pastel blue off the shoulder top hands me the bunch and I sniff them, sighing once finished.
They're absolutely exquisite
