"You've ruined my life, by not being mine"- Gorgeous, Taylor Swift

Three weeks.

For three weeks Maeve and Dally hadn't spoken a word to each other.

They were back to square one. Back to Maeve casting futile glances at Dally, hoping he'd look at her back, and him avoiding her gaze at if it would turn him to stone. Lately, he hardly hung around their friends if he thought there was a chance Maeve would be present. And the times that they were in the same vicinity it was as if she was invisible.

The first week, Maeve was hurt by his disregard of her existence—hurt by the fact that he could so easily pretend what happened between them never occurred.

The second week this feeling only grew, making her head swim with thoughts and questions that wouldn't seem to go away.

Was he angry at her? Did he think the almost-kiss was a mistake? Was he angry that she went with Scott into the woods?

The last question plagued her more than she liked to admit. Thinking of Scott—more specifically what happened that night with Scott—made her feel sick. She wished she could blame the entire situation on alcohol, but a cup of beer wasn't enough to cloud one's judgment that severely.

No, she willingly went with him, let him kiss her, and gave him the idea that she wanted to do more than that.

Seeing Dally's anger persist after nearly two weeks had gone by was enough to worry Maeve. There was still no sign of him returning to any semblance of normalcy—whatever that was for them now. The only conclusion that she could come to was that he resented her for that night. Whether that was because she tried to kiss him, or because she kissed Scott—she didn't know.

This led her to where she was now. Week three—anger.

Dally's whole cold shoulder thing was really starting to get on her nerves. When she tried to talk to him she got short, one word answers that carried bitterness behind them. It was as though he couldn't be bothered to converse with her, let alone even be near her.

She was one more retort away from yelling 'WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM?!' to his snarky little face.

Maeve tried pouring all of her frustration into her writing, but having to deal with the egotistical assholes that ran the school paper just made her even more angry. There was a clear bias among them when it came to the pieces that people received; the editor's friends always getting the front page while her and Miranda would be lucky to even get an article.

She was trying to find ways to demonstrate her skills in hopes that if they saw how good she was, they would have no choice but to give her better pieces, but so far it wasn't going very well. It proved to be quite the difficult task to make an article about the dangers of littering riveting.

This gave her no other option than to smolder in her anger towards Dallas Winston.

It was truly the gift that kept on giving, everytime she thought of him it would just spark up the urge to punch him in his stupidly handsome face, (that and kiss said face but she didn't like to think of that).

The audacity that this man had to treat her this way! It was one thing to be angry at Scott, taking advantage of his friend in such a way and all—but her? It was ridiculous. Did he think the situation was enjoyable for her? Oh yes, the way that she punched him in the face really showed her desire to have sex with him in the woods.
