Charging through the now open gate, Link and Yunobo found themselves in a huge, circular chamber. The walls were curved in, giving the place an almost circular shape. In the center of the great room, the stone on the floor took on a dark reddish color, surrounded by simple gray stone which made up the rest of the floor.
Link looked up at the ceiling. He could see the marbled rock clinging to the ceiling, its veins of red pulsating with light. If he was to save Zelda, his only option of freeing her would be shattering her stone prison.
Taking notice of the odd shape of the walls, he turned to Yunobo, motioning for him to prepare one of his attacks.
"Let's roll, goro!" the Goron replied, as he began to charge up, Link lining him up with the marbled rocks.
"Here we come, princess!"
And with that, Link launched him. Yunobo zoomed forward, rolling along the floor, up the wall before finally being thrown into the air and striking the marbled rock roast, shattering it to pieces.
The swordsman rushed forward, avoiding the falling debris, trying to catch Zelda if she fell. To his confusion though, no golden haired girl fell from the stone prison.
Yunobo soon landed beside him, showing himself as confused as he was. There was not a trace of her in sight.
"Huh? Where's the princess?!"
Looking back up at the ceiling, the two took notice of something hanging from the ceiling, previously concealed by the marbled rock roast.
Twas a large piece of stone, not red, but bearing a dark hue. Jagged stone extended from beneath it, as though they were a crown for the massive rock. All that seemed to be keeping it attached to the ceiling were a set of smaller stone spikes, pointing in the opposite direction, each one embedded in the stone above. To Link, they seemed like a set of teeth to him.
He was caught off guard when something in the center of the stone began to shift, pivoting towards him and his Goron friend. A single black eye, with an iris orange like fire.
"That's..." Yunobo gasped, "really really big!"
Seeing the creature begin to wriggle free from the ceiling above, the two hurried to get out of its way. It plummeted to the ground below, kicking up a massive cloud of dust. As they turned back to face the monster, the dust began to clear, revealing it in its full form.
It now stood upright on four snow crab-like legs, each one made from pure marbled rock roast. The monster towered over them both, with a single one of its limbs being big enough to easily crush them like they were ants.
"Oh no! Is Zelda... inside the monster?!" Yunobo asked, turning to Link.
The swordsman said nothing, as he got into a stance. If what his friend theorized was true, he was prepared to fight the rock monster with his teeth if it meant saving her.
