Early in the morning, Emerald woke up after the night of the tavern "incident". She has a terrible headache but she needed to run a few laps just so she can brush off the embarrassing things that's he did when she's drunk.

"I'm an absolute idiot!" She shouted while running wearing her pants that almost made her maid faint when she said she's gonna wear it.

How can she erase that memory of her?! Just how?! She could've live without embarrassment if only she can't remember what happened but she clearly remember every last detail of her foolishness.

"Please let me sink in a hole!" She said then stopped running

She came so far off from their house. She looked around. Tired.

As she remembers there's a lake near her location so he went there. And after a few minutes of walking she saw the clear lake.

She went on her knees and splash her face with water.

"I feel a bit refreshed." She mumbled

She sat comfortably with her arms on her knee.

The cold wind was relaxing and quiet surrounding made her feel at ease.

Oh how she hoped her days will be as calm as this one.

And the moment she thought of that she heard a noise, like someone was breathing heavily and moaning.

She raised her eyebrow.

Are there people doing indecent thing here?! This is a public place!

She went to the noise ready to shout at those people. She shove the tall bushes.

"YOU MO-!" she stopped at her track

Her eyes widened as she saw reds everywhere. Her eyes fell on the person lying on the ground. His silver hair was covered in red and his clothes are drenched in blood.

"Your Highness Helios!" She shouted as she ran towards him

She felt his pulse and was relieve to find out that he's still alive.

"Oohhh I can't move you from here without knowing where your wounds at and you're heavy." She mumbled to herself

"Your highness please wake up. Can you hear me?" She asked as she gently tapped his shoulders.

He just groaned and continued breathing heavily. She started to panic. She  didn't know how to treat wounds nor how to ask for help. They were too far from the mansion.

"Argh! This is insane!" She grunted

She started by trying to find his wounds and she just felt so disheartened when it's all over his body.

Who did this to the crown prince? For now let's stop his bleeding and wash some of his wounds.

She didn't know if what she's doing is right but it feels like that should be the first move.

"Your highness please. I need you to come to your senses. Please wake up." She said

She started undressing the crown prince to further check for his injuries. She then ripped some of the fabric in her cloth and wash it in the lake before drying it slightly then wrapping it around his bleeding wounds.

It took her hours to do that and it was already noon. She decided to scout the surrounding hoping that some servant will be there coincidentally.

But unfortunately there was not. What she found out horrifies her. Not too far from the badly injured crown prince are dead bodies.

One... Two... Three... Four ... Five ... Six... Seven.... Eight...

Just how many are they?! Are they assassins who hurt the crown prince?

She ran back to the crown prince. He might still be in danger. She doesn't know how to fight back but at least he'll have someone at his side now that he's unconscious.

When she went back, the crown prince was breathing more heavily. She felt his forehead and he was burning up.

"Oh no no no no. Please don't to this to me." She said as she tried her best to carefully lay him down properly. She rips some fabric from his own cloth and wash it on the lake.

Good thing that the lake's water is warm so after she wash it she put it in his forehead. She had experience taking care of someone else for she always took care of her sickly daughter in her past life. But this was the first time she encountered this type of problem.

"C-cold." She heard the crown prince talk in between his breath

They longer much fabric as she used it now so she had no choice but to warm him herself. She hugged him carefully and hum a lullaby.

Someone will find them any minute now. She's been put for almost half a day so the servants must be freaking out looking for her.

"Everything's going to be fine." She whispered in his ears

--

In his hazy consciousness, he felt a gentle and warm embrace of a woman. Her voice that sang a lullaby was drifting him back to sleep.

" Everything's going to be fine." She whispered in his ears

As he slowly fell back to sleep. He remembers how he and his aide tried to face off the bunch of assassins who were after his life.

They killed them all but they were both badly injured. Specially him. Since his aide can still walk he asked him to go ask for help.

It's been hours but he didn't come. There must be problems at the road. This is a headache for him.

He wanted to open his eyes to see the woman humming a song but his eyelids were very heavy.

He wanted her gentle embrace.

Ah. How can I make you mine?
