Ian just sat there, terrified. Actually, more than being terrified to Emerald, he was more afraid of the person behind her emitting a dark aura. Like warning him to answer her quickly or else ...
"I-I have somewhat an idea." He said a bit trembling
"And you didn't tell me about it?" Emerald said
"Your daughter wants it to let it-"
"You had a conversation with my daughter?!"
"It was just for a while. I made you met her in your dreams."
"So that dream was all true?!" Emerald said
Her emotions are rising through her. She's trembling.
Her daughter just gave up her life for her. Her whole family's life for this opportunity for her.
There's nothing more painful for a mother than to make her child see her suffering to the point that they will be the one to sacrifice something.
No child should sacrifice anything for their parents. It's the other way around. It should be the parents that should make their children happy.

"Where is she now?" She asked cutting Ian mid sentence

The warlock did not answer.
"She's asking." Finally the man with bloody red eyes who was behind Emerald speaks
"Their soul was with the demon." Ian said abruptly
"What?!"
"That's how dark magic works. Something should be sacrifice. Like sell the soul to teb devil. She made three lives reincarnate so the demon took three souls in return. They are all with him. Probably, suffering or being abused or whatever. I only met a part of her soul." He said
The poor little girl. They were all suffering because of a selfish wish.
She felt her chest tightened. She wanted to scream . She was clenching her first from anger.

Vivian should be the one paying for her selfishness and not the innocent people.
"How can we bring them back?" She asked trying to suppress any ugly emotions she was feeling right now
"There's only one thing that can battle black magic. Divine power. "
"We have the saintess." Helios said
"Can't. The Emperor was being brainwashed too by black magic right? And he also needs the saintess help. What are you gonna do?"
"Can't she do both?" Helios asked
"No! What do you think of her? Black magic are complicated. It requires something that shouldn't be tampered upon like sacrifice. She will be draining all her divine power just to battle one of the two demons contracted using the black magic."
"You mean... Demons are behind this."
"Of course. They are the source of those kind of filthy magic. So we're battling two demons here. We only have one saintess." Ian said
"Do we have alternatives?"
"Yeah. Like killing those who made the contracts." Emerald said
"Negative. Once contracts are made, they are unbreakable. Only divine power can nullify it. And... If we nullify the contract with the demon to save you child ... There's a big possibility that you will loose your memories of the past life."
"What?"
"You guys think you reincarnated due to black magic right? But that's not actually true. Everyone reincarnate. What really happened is that you remember your past life due to black magic. "Find another alternative for that." Helios said
"What? Don't be ridiculous!" Ian said

"Okay okay fine... Wait... I just read in a book. It's a pretty similar story with the emperor. There's a way to undo the black magic without using divine power."
"What is it?"

Helios drew his knife and pointed at Ian's neck in an instant.
"We're not playing games here."
"It's true! It's true! Listen first! Wait!" He the poor warlock shrieked in a panic
"Let him talk first. " Emerald said as she gently put down Helios arms
"The Emperor curse involved love directly. If our suspicion that the love he felt for his mistress is born from the black magic and brainwashing then... a true love can beat that. There's one person in a record that broke through love brainwashing due to true loves kiss." Ian said
"Have you read too many fairy tales?" Emerald asked
"I'm being serious! It really exist!" He insisted
"Give us another way. That old man won't fall in love ever." Helios said
"How am I supposed to do that?"
"It's your job to figure it out." Helios said as he finally sheath his knife.
"You have two weeks." Emerald said
"What?!" That's the last thing they heard before they finally left
