Senior High, 2024─9 years ago.

As another school year starts, another year of torment and suffering from these insufferable assholes in my city.

Growing up fat is hard, but growing up fat and gay is unimaginable. Waking up and preparing for school every day is like a big quest; you don't know what's waiting for you there. You don't know whether you will encounter offensive jokes, backhanded compliments, or just straight-up insults right in your face.

The only things I can be proud of are my best friends, cousins, some genuine people who know me, my family, and my height. I'm surprisingly tall for my age. But even though I'm tall, my ridiculous weight still stands out. And as for my family, they really are genuinely concerned about my weight, but unfortunately, they still deliver it like backhanded insults.

I love listening to girl and boy groups music and dance to it. Popular artists like BLACKPINK, Twice, Aespa, Seventeen, Ateez, BTOB, and solo artists Wonho, Jungkook, Taehyung, Mingyu, and many more. Although I can't help but feel envious of their luscious physique and how they're physically fit, when these thoughts come to me, my eyes start to blur, tears fall down my face, and then I cry.

"Hey, Tae Young, wait for me!", Sun Hee shouts while running toward me. Sun Hee is one of my best friends. Her, Ji Hye, and So Young are my best friends. Me, Sun Hee, and Ji Hye have been best friends since we were little, in elementary school. Although Ji Hye moved to Gwangju to live with her family, she lived here in Gangnam in our elementary days with her aunt. We still keep in touch to this day and hang out together whenever she visits us.

A few years ago, I also met So Young on the internet. She lives in Busan. We're already on a level of closeness where we share secrets, dirty habits, venting and ranting sessions, and other things that comes to mind when thinking about how close are one another.

"Hey boy, we should really start that 'voluntary' cleaning at school and finish up early so we can discuss the upcoming school year," Sun Hee yaps. After spending all day in the sun clearing out the overgrown bushes and weeds, we finished and went to her house to discuss about the upcoming school year, aka the upcoming storm, as senior students.

"Are we in the same section?", I asked her.

"I don't know, we should check the school's website; the list of names should be up by this time," Sun Hee replies. We proceeded to our phones and decided we would count on three and say the section we're in.

"Okay, on three, one, two, three! STEM: Jeju!", we both screamed as we couldn't contain our excitement. We then proceeded to talk a little more before I went home.

It was deep into the night, I couldn't sleep. So, I swiped through some old photos in my gallery in hopes they would help me fall asleep. But based on the pictures I looked through, bad memories resurfaced.

As I browsed through my gallery, I came across group photos of me with my ex-classmates. I had no desire to dwell on their names or their faces—it honestly makes me sick to think about them. I vividly recall how they treated me poorly; they spoke behind my back, made me feel worthless, and overshadowed me at every turn. After graduating from junior high, I considered blocking them on social media, but if the worst had happened, they beat me to it. They blocked me first and proceeded to unfriend and unfollow me. Those bastards, even on the internet they make me the bad person too.

I realized I had to do something had to awe them─I had to show them that I CAN CHANGE.

A few months have passed since school started and we're already halfway through the year. Much has changed since then. I was jumping for joy after my classmates moved cities; I no longer had to put a mask on my face and pretend to get along with them; good riddance.

I want to prove to those who made fun of me in high school that the person they called 'fatty' has changed—big time. I was determined to lose weight, build muscles, and look good... naked. So, when I started working out at home, I bought a dumbbell set. I began walking home from school to help with my fitness and to save money. Walking to school wasn't an option because I would be late. I also planned some exercises focused on burning fat. I figured I should reach a specific weight before prioritizing muscle building, though I still tried to gain some muscle along the way. So far, I've been doing good, it might not be noticeable as of now, but I feel good and refreshed.

"Hey, Tae Young! Have you been zoning out, thinking about what happened last year, again? You should lay that shit to rest, okay? They aren't worthy of your precious time and attention." Sun Hee says. I love how she always cares for me, but I'm not the type of person who lays SHIT to rest so easily.

"Sun Hee, you know I'm the type of person who adds 'Revenge' to the five stages of grief," I said and proceeded to laugh at my own joke.

School life is tough, but we persevered and succeeded. A few years haspassed, we already graduated from senior high school. And then later on, Sun Hee and I graduated from the prestigious Seoul National University with a bachelor's degree in nursing.

Day???

"Whew! That was a wild night. I had a good time, babe. I'm just going to take a shower; our activity made me sweat a lot." he replied, smirking."

After he went to the shower, I proceeded to make us some breakfast. I couldn't process what happened last night but he was really into it.

"Everything was in motion, in 3D. But most importantly, can't forget about the champagne confetti." I chuckled.

All of a sudden, his phone rang. I went to check out the phone, but it was an unknown caller. I tried calling him, because his phone kept ringing.

"Hey, babe. Your phone's ringing!" I tried calling out. But he couldn't hear me anyway because he was having a private concert in the bathroom.

I answered the phone, but didn't utter a word.

"Hello?" It was a woman's voice.
