I Don't Believe In Forever

When Seungmin was turned into a vampire, his life became a total mess.

Even though society had evolved to give everyone equal rights and promote peace between humans and vampires, there was still a significant gap between the two groups. Humans were still scared of vampires, and their fear was not unfounded. There were vampires who couldn't control themselves, and they continued to kill innocent people. This provided a valid reason for humans to be fearful.

Seungmin himself was a bit scared of vampires.

This changed when he met his boyfriend, Dae.

Seungmin was in his first year of college when he met Dae for the first time at a party. Seungmin had gotten drunk, and Dae helped him back to his dorm room, leaving a note with his number. Seungmin couldn't stop thinking about Dae, so he decided to ask him out for coffee.

This led to more dates, and soon enough, they were officially dating.

Despite the societal fear of vampires, Seungmin wasn't scared of Dae. He trusted him, even though his family and friends were apprehensive. Looking back, Seungmin realized he should have listened to their warnings.

The trouble started when Dae insisted they go somewhere at night but refused to say where, claiming it was a surprise.

This should have been a significant red flag, but Seungmin, blinded by love, didn't think anything was strange.

They drove for over an hour and ended up deep in the woods. This was when Seungmin started to feel uneasy, but by then, it was too late to turn back.

Maybe Dae just wanted to do something romantic, Seungmin thought.

"We're here," Dae announced as he got out of the car. Seungmin followed him and was amazed by what he saw.

They were at a beautiful lake, surrounded by trees, with the full moon shining on the water.

"This is so beautiful," Seungmin said, speechless.

"I know. I wanted this moment to be really special," Dae replied, looking at Seungmin with his dark eyes.

"This moment?" Seungmin asked, curious.

"Yes. Vampires live a very long life, and I don't want my human to die quickly and leave me alone for the rest of my life. I want to turn you into a vampire."

This statement was a wake-up call for Seungmin.

"Wait—what!?" Seungmin exclaimed, shocked. "Dae, I don't want to be turned. I can't be a vampire!"

"Seungmin, this is about us. We can live together forever," Dae argued.

"Dae, I love you a lot, but I really don't want to be a vampire."

"Well, Seungmin, I love you too, and that's why I have to do this," Dae said, revealing his fangs and biting Seungmin's neck.

Seungmin didn't remember much after that.

He knew it hurt like shit.

Then he woke up back in his dorm room.
