When Han insisted on driving Seungmin to the blood supply facility, Seungmin quickly declined.

He didn’t want to be a further burden. Han had already gone above and beyond for him, and in Seungmin's mind, Han’s favor was fulfilled. Besides, the last thing he wanted was to inconvenience Han more than he already had.

Despite his desire to spend more time with Han and his friends, Seungmin couldn't shake Minho’s harsh words from his mind. Minho had made it clear that he saw Seungmin as a danger, and staying in their house felt irresponsible. Seungmin’s immediate problem of hunger was solved, so he saw no reason to linger and potentially put his newfound acquaintances at risk.

After his conversation with Han, Seungmin made sure to leave promptly.

He had overheard from the others that two more of them were expected to come home later.

They were passionate music producers who often lost track of time while working. The mention of music intrigued Seungmin, as he had always loved music and really enjoied singing.

However, the fear of being perceived as a threat, like Minho viewed him, kept him from wanting to meet them.

Even though he knew Minho’s concerns were justified, it still hurt to be seen as a danger. This reinforced his feeling of being destined to be alone, unable to stay around people, no matter how kind they were to him.

When Seungmin arrived at the blood supply facility, he couldn’t help but notice the large number of other vampires present.

Having encountered very few vampires in his life, it was a strange comfort to see so many others like him.

Entering the building, he was instructed to join the long line to receive blood. He did so with a pout, knowing the wait would be tedious and boring.

As he waited, the vampire in front of him turned around and smiled. "Sometimes it makes me sad to see how many of us are here," he said in a low, almost conspiratorial tone.

"What do you mean?" Seungmin asked, curious and slightly wary.

"Well, we’re all in a situation where we need these little bags of blood to survive and avoid being hunted," the vampire explained. "At least, that's what they think."

Seungmin frowned. "But isn’t it good that we have this option? It keeps us from harming others."

The vampire shook his head. "It shouldn’t be like this," he replied quickly. "We have predatory instincts, whether you like it or not. I know some vampires don’t like it, but this is our nature. We can’t just rely on bags of blood forever."

"Why not?" Seungmin asked, skeptical and a bit defensive.

"Because the feeling you have in your stomach, it’s not just hunger. It’s a need that no bag of blood can satisfy," the vampire answered.

"Do you mean the need to bite someone?" Seungmin asked, his voice trembling slightly.

"Yes. We need actual fresh blood. Why do you think covens still use humans to feed?" the vampire asked.

"Because it’s easier, and those humans do it voluntarily," Seungmin replied.

"It’s because this is how things are. We need someone to feed from so we don’t lose control. The vampires who walk the streets killing people are lost causes. They lost all control because they tried to deny their nature, and now, they can’t stop," the vampire explained.
