Chapter 29: Who's Lying?

Wang Yibo arrived at the king's court room; he found almost every court member, he noticed his mother and Xiao Zhan standing at the side, he frowned slightly realizing almost every member of the royal household was presence before the King who sat on his throne with a hardened look in his eyes and then, his gaze finally landed on Dalle was kneeling in the middle of the room.

The third prince of Dawnton didn't need to be a genius to be able to read the room as he stood before his father and saluted. "Father."

The king leaned his body forward, the look in his eyes shifting. "Are you perhaps familiar with the lady kneeling before the royal court?"

Wang Yibo took a look at Dalle but the female alpha with her head bowed refused to meet his eyes. He looked back at the king. "Yes, father."

The king locked him with a furious stare that almost made Wang Ybo shudder. For the first time in his life, he was not sure what he had done wrong. "Miss Dalle will repeat what she said to the court."

Dalle finally lifted her head and this time she met Wang Yibo's eyes with unshed tears in her eyes, she opened her mouth to speak. "I-I am pregnant and the third prince is responsible for it."

It was like an explosive was dropped as the audience gasped in sheer shock and horror while Wang Yibo couldn't believe his ears.

"What?" he managed to say in disbelief.

"I'm Pregnant, Wang Yibo and you are the father of my unborn child." Lips quivering, she repeated.

Wang Yibo quickly turned to his father. "Father, obviously, she has gone nuts."

"Are you claiming Miss Dalle is lying to the court and your father, the King?" 1st Consort Yelena spoke up.

"I am not lying!" Dalle became distraught. "He is responsible for the child I am not carrying. I have been with no other man than him. I swear by the gods, I am not lying."

"I am not the father of her child!" Wang Yibo had never heard anything so stupid in his entire life.

"There is no way to tell whether she is lying or not, third prince. After all, everyone knows you had a relationship with Miss Dalle before your omega came along. Given your notoriety, I would not be surprised if another person walks in here and claims you are the father of their child." Queen Yelena continued her haunt and most of everyone in the court agreed, Wang Yibo restrained himself from face palming. He cursed his luck.

He looked at his mother; her eyes held disappointment and when he looked at Xiao Zhan, the omega was blank, certainly they did not believe this nonsense but there was no way to prove that, was there?

"How are you so certain she's not carrying your child, third prince?"

"If Miss Dalle is really pregnant with my child, she should be at least five months gone." Wang Yibo revealed.

"Miss Dalle claims she is only three months gone," Prince Fanxing exclaimed a bit too excitedly.

"The third prince and I had sex three months ago, the same night the omega prince arrived. When I found out I was pregnant, I was afraid no one would believe me, so I kept it to myself till now, I realized I can't hide any longer," she cried.

If things were bad before, they have gotten even worse. "I didn't." Wang Yibo grunted through his teeth.

"But what would the people say if they find out the third prince denies the existence of his baby?" Queen Yelena let out a gasp.
