"Staying a while Davina?"

"Long enough to convince tom that he doesnt want a child."

"Its not working." Tommen countered.

"You have too many kids Vis." Davina added. "And Cole!" She shouted back. "Honey stop lurking in the doorway-"

"Hes a guard davina. Part of the queens guard." Viserys countered.

"Its his job to lurk." Tommen agreed.

"Alicent is perfectly safe with me." Davina countered. "Sit."

"Best listen to her." Viserys remarked when criston didnt move. "Shes persistent and gets what she wants."

"I do." Davina agreed. Criston looked to the empty seat beside alicent and wondered if davina knew and she was helping or tormenting. Davina smiled lifting her glass to her lips.

"Are you done with children alicent?"

"Yes." She agreed

"Good you can get your body back." Davina agreed. "Reclaim it from the monsters after you are done breastfeeding. Do you do that or send them off to others?"

"Aranyani is connected to her most days." Viserys added.

"Shes perfect." Alicent agreed her gaze shifting slightly to criston.

She didn't know if it was true or not. If it could even be possible she knew that with cats they could have multiple fathers cats came out looking all different. They could have 2 - 3 different fathers in the same litter. Why couldn't it be the same for humans? Maybe it was wishful thinking but part of her new deep down that criston was the father. He had to be.

"Ser criston could you hold Aranyani?" Alicent requested. He was eager to hold out his hands.

"Dont drop the baby cole." Davina teased as ara giggled and wiggled debating if she wanted to be passed off or not. She settled on no and tugged alicents hair keeping her close.

"Can you go to mamas friend, Ara?" Alicent questioned. Ara looked to davina.

"Oh come on dav!" Tommen begged. "Dont you want a little cutie looking up to you?" He questioned

"I already have one." Davina countered throwing ara into the air. Criston paled and alicent jumped up reaching back for aranyani. Aranyani squealed horror and excitement in her eyes until davina caught her.

"Dont throw the baby Davina." Criston begged.

"She likes it," davina challenged throwing her up again. The same squeal of panic and happiness filled the banquet hall.

"As much as I love davina-"

"She doesnt know how to handle children." Criston agreed.

"I was scared to death!" Alicent declared. She clung to little ara as she slept soundly.

"so no asking davina to baby sit?"

"Shes a wonderful woman and has been so kind to me. I would consider her a friend." Alicent assured. "But... she threw my baby."

"She didnt seem to care when she was throwing daeron." Criston chuckled. Alicent felt like an awful mother. "Hey i didnt mean to-"

"No. You are right. I favor Aranyani..." alicent admitted. "Am an awful mother-"

"Thats not true at all." Criston objected instantly "you were thrown into this marriage and forced to have children when you were still a child yourself. You are a woman now and you finally get a child you see yourself in."

"Yes." She admitted softly "it is strange seeing my children but only seeing viserys. The king. A man i don't care for one i have long since despised." Alicent whispered.

"Don't feel bad about being human." Criston kept reminding her that. "Give yourself grace." That was something else he often told her because no matter how many times he said it and she heard it she needed to be reminded.

"Thank you criston." Alicent said as he wrapped his arms around her. "I love you."

"I love you and I'm here for you and the kids... you know that I'm here for you. I love little aranyani already."

"Daeron will get more love from viserys. He likes having boys. Not that he tends to them but he likes them like trophies." Alicent offered.

"I heard that Rhaenyra was speaking with the king said he wanted to make sure the boys bonded-"

"He means to throw my daeron in with her bastard." Yes she too heard the irony.

"Milk buddies i believe he called them."

"I'm not giving aranyani to a stranger to feed from."

"Daeron?"

"Maybe he can make that child of strong seed kinder." Alicent offered.

"Your husband hopes they will all be friends." Criston added.

"I want to keep my daughter away from them. Away from stupid jacaerys. Taint my little angel..."

Criston chuckled

"What?"

"You think you are going too far?" Criston countered

"Possibly." Alicent admitted moving to aranyani. "But she's my baby girl and i have to protect her. Protect her like i wish my father protected me."
