The girls just got out of practice so we we're hanging out at their dorm as usual. KK and Aubrey are sitting at the table doing some homework and they're on TikTok live.

Me, Brianna and the other girls are doing our own thing. "Oh my god, it's Neshy!" KK yells as she sees Inês walk through the door.

"Hey KK" Inês says, taking her shoes off. I watch as she glances at me and walks straight to her room. "Now would be the perfect time to talk to her" Brianna whispers to me.

I nod, biting the inside of my cheek. "Paige" I whisper, nudging her. "hm?" She hums. "I think i'm gonna go talk to Inês." I purse my lips.

She looks at me and nods, "Okay. Let me know how it goes". I nod, getting up and walking away. I hear KK ask where I was going but she quickly disregarded her question after she seen me knock on Inês' door.

"Come in!" She yells. I walk in, closing the door behind me. "Hi." I say quietly, my stance awkward and tense. "What are you doing in here?" She asks, sitting up.

"We need to talk" I blurted out, walking towards her. "Oh" She whispers. I sit down in her desk chair, clearing my throat awkwardly.

"So.." She says, facing me. "We can't continue to keep being awkward around each other." I say, blankly. "We have to talk this talk over."

Inês nods in agreement, "Speak your peace."

"First of all, I think we need to talk about what happened.. between us" I say, drifting off at the last part. "right" Inês says, smacking her lips.

"Uhm.." I whisper, not really knowing where to get started.

"I'm really sorry our relationship ending how it did." Inês speaks up.

"Me too." I nod.

"I just wanna move on.. you know?" Inês says, pursing her lips together. "Yeah. me too"

"I'm just really sorry.. I know how bad i hurt you and you have every right to be mad at me or not wanna talk to me or something." She says, making eye contact with me.

I nod in response, "I would like to be friends again and not be awkward around each other." I say. "Me too. So.. friends?" Inês says rather awkwardly. "Friends" I nod.

That whole damn talk was crucial.

I walk out of Inês' room and flop down on the couch with a sigh. "Why'd you go in there?" KK asks which instantly makes Paige hit the younger girl on her back.

"She hasn't told the other girls" Paige whispers to her. It seems like every girl in here has super hearing. "Told us what" Aubrey says, snapping her head towards me.

"Oh God" I groan, putting my head down.

At this point every girl in the room is asking what i didnt tell them. "Me and Inês used to date" I whisper. "Huh?" Caroline says.

"Me and Inês used to date" I say louder. "We literally cannot hear you" Yanna says, shaking her head.

"Me and Inês used to date!" I snap, practically screaming. "Oh." Aubrey says quietly. The room goes silent. "When?" Caroline says, Furrowing her brows.
