ophelia
That night, with Red and Chloe in their respective dorm rooms, I got lucky enough to have an extra room to myself. With lights as soft as a rainbow's glow, the bedroom lacked personality.
What I loved most about this newfound dorm room was the large windows that opened to the outside, allowing me to revel in a midnight thunder storm.
Though, I didn't realize that open windows allowed unwanted guests.
A sudden knock came to my door, precipitated with the longing of misconstructed knowledgement.
I opened the door to find a young man in a dark green coat and black pants, a set of blonde-ish brown curls on top of his head. What captivated me most were the sharp green eyes he was looking at me with.
He seemed intimidating, rightfully so, but when he opened his mouth to speak, the complete opposite occurred.
"H-Hi." He started.
Tired and full of annoyance with today's circumstances, I only manage to roll my eyes at the sight of him. "Can I help you?"
The boy starts to fidget with one of the rings wrapped around his finger. "I-uh.." He pauses, letting out a deep breath. "Sorry, I just-I saw you in the courtyard today and couldn't help but introduce myself."
Waiting for his next set of words, I encourage him to go on with a gesture.
"I'm Morgan. Son of Morgana Le Fay...but my friends call me Morgie." He acknowledges, sticking his hand out for me to accept and potentially shake.
Earlier today, Red had mentioned that we were in the past. If my math was correct, we were set over twenty years to the date. I had seen my uncle Hades earlier with his group of friends, and remembered that this strange boy was among them.
"Ophelia." Is all I manage to get out. I couldn't reveal that I was the daughter of a high Olympian when that said Olympian was still in high school. I had yet to see him at what was called the "Merlin Academy", though I wouldn't be surprised if he was the kind of student to skip class and play hooky.
When I accept his hand, something inside of me stirred like the cruelest potion. A fire born of a lightning strike set aflame.
"My friends and I have this hangout spot in the Black Lagoon if you'd like to join me-I mean us - tomorrow." Morgie mentions.
Chloe's plan to figure out what Ulianna was planning for Bridget struck me, and suddenly, I had my own plan in motion. "Sure, I'd love to come."
Though, accepting his invitation meant something more, and was only the beginning of our story.
