Isha held Ishaan's hand, placing kisses once in a while. Her dear son, her only son, her very own blood, was sleeping on the bed, looking peaceful and tranquil. Yet, she knew once he gained consciousness, heartbreak awaited him. Her Ishu is going to break down. Why won't he after such a big betrayal of trust and faith? He accepted Surekha and Yashwant as his parents more than her and Shantanu, his birth parents. He worshipped them for accepting him, loving him more than their own child. Ishaan felt indebted to their love and kindness. And now, the two most important people in his life deceived him so brutally, that Isha was afraid, was going to shatter Ishaan. Isha felt the imminent pain her son was going to feel. He was going to be destroyed.

Shantanu placed a comforting hand on Isha's shoulder. Isha looked up at him with teary eyes. Shantanu sighed and squeezed her shoulder. Isha sniffed, "Shantanu, Ishu...." Shantanu nodded, his shoulders pressed down with sadness and anguish, "I know, Isha. I know." Isha hugged him, crying, "Why is god so cruel to our son?" Shantanu embraced Isha, providing her with all the comfort he could, "I don't know, Isha. I don't know anything anymore. I am still grappling with the truth that Rao Saheb, Vahini, and Nishi could do something so heinous!" Isha stared in the distance, voice turning painful, "I am sorry, Shantanu. It must be so difficult for you. If only I could lessen your pain...." Shantanu held Isha's face between his hands, and confessed, "You being here is enough, Isha. Your companionship, trust, and love for me are what push me forward."

A new wave of tears spilt down Isha's eyes as she cried for Shantanu, "I am sorry..." She was apologizing for not being with him for all these bitter years. She was apologizing for never trying to understand him. She was apologizing for leaving him. Shantanu leaned down and pressed his lips on her hair, closing his eyes, "I love you, Isha. Never leave me." Shantanu understood everything she wanted to say, what she wanted to convey, just by looking into her eyes. Isha nodded, burying her head in his warmth. Shantanu held her tighter.

"What are we going to do, Isha? Our Ishaan, I cannot imagine what he must be feeling about the matter when I am feeling so agitated," Shantanu spoke of his fears, eyes fixed on Ishaan. Isha sighed deep and low, carrying a heavy burden of emotions, "We are going to protect our son as best as we can. We are going to be with him even if he refuses us. This time, I am not going to abandon him." Shantanu caressed her hair, "and Savi?" Isha pulled back and stood up. She went to the window and looked outside, "I am going to fight for her. I want to give her justice which she deserves for all the unfairness, Shantanu. And after that, it's up to her to decide what she wants to do." Shantanu nodded in understanding, "Yes, we cannot force her. But at least we can convince her to stay. They both love each other after all." Isha turned around and faced Shantanu, her lips pursed, "It's their matter, Shantanu. We should not interfere. I would be the happiest if they got together. And I will support them if they choose to go their separate ways. It's their love and their battle." Shantanu sighed and looked down. Please Bappa, bless Ishaan and Savi. Get them together.

Ishaan groaned and felt his eyes strain in pain. He unconsciously raised his hand and rubbed his forehead. He felt numb and lax. What's wrong with his body? A hand tugged his. Ishaan jolted in surprise. The touch took him aback. His widened eyes fell on Savi who was sitting on a stool by his bedside. Ishaan couldn't help but smile and fall back on the bed, "finally, you are here. Tell me it's not a dream." Savi pinched his arm. Ishaan yelped in pain, "Ah! Savi! It hurts! I am a patient, for god's sake! Don't you know to not harm patients?" Savi hummed and spoke up, "You asked me if I was a dream. So there. I am real. Don't be dramatic about it." Ishaan's frown turned into a sweet calmness, "You are a dream come true to me though." Savi looked away, hiding the sudden shyness. Composing her emotions, Savi stared at Ishaan, her head tilted to the side, "Since when did chidkaya become sweet? I am unable to digest this much sweetness."
