Ch 10: The Other Dorms

"No! NO! I'm not going back to those boring classes; you can't make me!" Grim shouted while flailing around in the air.

"Absolutely not Grim!" Twilight said as she used her magic to grab Grim by the bow, "And besides, you can't become a great mage without learning the important lessons."

"UGH! Why can't there be an easier and less boring way to be a great mage?" Grim pouted.

"Grim, there won't be a shortcut to achieving your dreams. It would take time and practice to master the art of magic. Besides, I think you'll enjoy this next period."

Twilight and Grim had arrived at two large doors at the end of the hallway. She opened the door and they entered into a huge cafeteria.

Grim was already drooling at the sight and smell of the buffet and said, "Wooo! Is it lunchtime already?! Woah they got some good-lookin' grub!"

"Easy there, Grim. Let's find the other first, and then we can get in line to eat."

Just after Twilight said that a voice called out to them. Pinkie Pie stood in line with the others who loudly shouted across the cafeteria waving her hands, "Twilight! Grrriiimm! Over here! We saved you a spot in line with us!"

"Gezee Pinkie Pie, How about screaming that even louder? I can still hear out of my left ear," Ace said annoyed.

Twilight walked over to the group, picked up a lunch tray, and joined the rest of her friends.

"Wow, what a nice buffet spread."

"I know right? And all the food here looks so tasty that I want to try every single one," Pinkie Pie beamed.

"Come now Pinkie, It is not mannerly to pile a huge amount of food on one's plate," Rarity advised while Applejack just placed her hand on Rarity's shoulder, "Relax Rare, It's not like we're eating at the royal palace or something."

"But still Applejack I wouldn't want the boys here to think poorly of Pinkie."

"I don't think you should worry about Pinkie too much," Starlight said as she pointed to a floating/drooling Grim.

"Look how fluffy those omelets are! Ooh, grilled chicken! And a bacon-and-egg tart!"

"Shhh! Dude, inside voices! Where was this energy earlier today?" Ace questioned.

"Maybe he was saving it for this period," Rainbow Dash snarked.

"Don't worry I've got Grim in a firm levitation hold so he won't run off again," Twilight said as she continued to pick out her lunch selection, along with Fluttershy who was nice enough to help Grim with his lunch tray.

"Fluttershy, grab me the grilled chicken! There's only one left! And an omelet too. And that jelly-filled bread. Just fill my whole tray with 'em!"

"Easy Grim. I can't do multiple things at once," Fluttershy said. She was almost done selecting Grim's and her lunches until Fluttershy bumped into another student.

"Hey! Watch where you're goin'!" The angry male snapped "M-my carbonara! you broke the yolk!"

"Oh no, I'm so sorry," She apologized.

Another student interjected "Whoa, that's, messed up! Pokin' the egg is the best part! You better make this right, girly."

"I'm gonna need that grilled chicken of yours as compensation," The Delinquent said as he and the other Delinquent tried to gang up on Fluttershy and Grim until the rest of her friends stepped in.

"Hey! She said she was sorry! So back off!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

"Huh! But out short-stack! This is between us and her!"
