Some cheerleaders and I have been watching the boys fencing practice and may I say it was a lot more interesting than usual.

There was a random person who started dueling Jay. We all stopped and watched and finally the masked person revealed themselves, "It's Lonnie!" I called out as we all began clapping.

"Not bad," Jay smiled at the girl in front of him.

"You should put me on the team," Lonnie held her mask under her arm.

"hey! What! No no no," Chad jumped up from his seat and ran over to the pair. Of course it's always Chad. "We'll be the laughing stock of the league. A-and what's gonna happen next? We'll have girls playing tourney? Cmon guys." Chad looked around the room for support from anyone else.

"So?" Jay questioned.

"So? Uh, have you not seen the rule book?" Of course Chad pulls a tiny rule book from his pocket causing me to roll my eyes. "Section 2. Paragraph 3, 11-4. A team will be comprised of a captain and eight men."

Chad went and showed everyone the rule book. I hate that he knows stuff like that. Hate that it's in the rule book.

"Yeah but you're down a man!" Lonnie protested. "I mean, since Ben has to leave to do all that king stuff."

"Exactly," Chad stated. "We're down a man."

"Jay," Lonnie could tell she was desperately grasping at straws.

"I'm sorry," Jay sighed. I know he's a good guy and if he could let Lonnie on the team she would. "Coach trusts me. I'm not gonna stay captain if I just throw away the rule book."

"If my mother would have thought that way she would have lost the war," Lonnie huffed before beginning to walk off.

"Okay," Chad shrugged as Lonnie began leaving. "Rule book. Rule book."

"All right, guys. Practice is over, let's go." Jay announced patting Chad on the shoulder and every began gathering their stuff to leave.

"Maggie!" I heard Carlos call and I turned to look at him. "Maggie. Hey, hey"

"Hey Carlos, what's up?" I leaned on the railing smiling at him.

"Uh," he looked back at Dude before returning to the conversation. "Not much. You?"

"Way too much," I stated. "We we're gonna go with the blue and gold banners for Cotillion. But now we can find the right shade of blue."
