Kierra's POV

Weeks passed, and we became so close. It was as if a silent understanding had formed between us, a bridge over the boundaries that had once seemed insurmountable. Sir Mike, or rather, Mike, as he insisted I call him in private, had become a significant part of my life.

Our relationship is now official, and with that, a new world opened up to me. There were things I only experienced with him—moments of profound connection and understanding that I had never thought possible. He is so mature in handling our relationship, always ensuring that I feel valued and cherished.

Despite being my teacher, Mike never let me feel that I was not worth his time. He balanced our professional and personal lives with such finesse that I often marveled at how he managed it. In the classroom, he was Professor Albarez, guiding us through complex theories and challenging us to think critically. Outside those walls, he was simply Mike, a man who had become my confidant and partner.

He is always here to support me, even behind the professional door. When I struggled with my research paper, he would offer guidance without crossing any lines, giving me the confidence to push through. When I had a rough day, he would listen patiently, his presence a soothing balm to my worries.

I remember one evening in particular, after a long day of classes and an exhausting study session. We met at our favorite coffee shop, a cozy little place tucked away from the bustling campus. Over our favorite drinks—Vietnamese coffee for me and a simple Blueberry tea for him—we talked about everything and nothing, enjoying the rare moment of peace.

"You're incredible, you know that?" he said, his eyes filled with genuine admiration. "Balancing your studies, your friends, and everything else... I'm proud of you, Kierra."

His words warmed my heart, making me feel like I could conquer anything. With him by my side, the challenges seemed less daunting, the future less uncertain.

Our relationship might be unconventional, but it works for us. Mike's past has given him a depth of understanding that few possess, and his experiences have shaped him into the man he is today—a man I am deeply grateful to have in my life.

As the weeks turned into months, our bond only grew stronger. There were still moments of doubt and fear, but together, we navigated them, finding solace in each other's company. Mike has shown me that love isn't just about grand gestures; it's about the quiet support, the understanding glances, and the unwavering belief in each other.

In this journey, I've learned that love can be found in the most unexpected places and that sometimes, the greatest strength comes from allowing yourself to be vulnerable with someone who truly cares. Mike has taught me that, and for that, I am forever grateful.

One night, in front of the City Lights, he decided to open up to me. It was the most open I had ever seen him, the true Mike Albarez, not just my professor, but a man with his own vulnerabilities and scars.

The view from the City Light Cliff was breathtaking, the twinkling lights of the city below mirrored the stars above. It had always been a special place for me, but tonight, it took on a deeper significance as Mike began to share his story.

"I've never told anyone this," he started, his voice barely above a whisper. "Not even Maricar."

I nodded, encouraging him to continue, my heart aching at the raw emotion in his eyes.

"My ex-girlfriend, the one I thought I'd spend my life with, cheated on me," he said, looking out at the lights. "It wasn't just a fleeting affair; it was a long, drawn-out betrayal. I found out about it in the worst way possible. She didn't even bother to hide it."
