Chapter 1: Kate's childhood life at blossomvale

Kate lives with her parents near the ranch; they were just impecunious; sometimes her parents wouldn't take her to school because they couldn't give her money. Kate couldn't really understand it because she was just 5 years old at the time, and she didn't know what was going on in their lives.

Kate was so close to her cousin's on her mother's side; she had a lot of friends, especially at her school; their family was known because of their intelligence; her mother was always valedictorian since she was a kid; and her cousin's were smart too, just like her mother. A lot of people compared her to her own cousin's because she's not really smart. They were four cousins, and all of them are classmates. Quine, Kate, Lyn, and Mel. Quine was the smartest of all of them; she's always the top student in their class. While Mel and Lyn were next to her, Kate was just average.

Her mother never really pressured her; all she wanted for Kate was to always do her best, but Kate can still feel their silence and expectations of her.

One time her father took her to the place where his friend lives, and she saw her old classmate Triexy.

Kate's pov

"Ohhh, Kate, your here; what brings you here, by the way?" Triexy said.

Kate responded, "My father wanted me to come with him; I didn't expect you to live here."

"I can't imagine our fathers were actually friends; come with me, and I'll take you to our home," Triexy said.

"Wow, I didn't know you guys had a huge house in here," Kate said.

They had fun together, while her father was busy talking to his friend. After a long day, it was nighttime, and Kate's father decided to go home.

"Goodbye; see you at school tomorrow," Triexy said.

Kate just waved goodbye to a close former classmate.

After a long ride, they finally came home. Kate was so confused about what was under the blanket.

"Mhmm, it feels like there is something under that blanket," Kate said to her mind.

"Want to know what's under that?" Her mom said to her while smiling.

She's confused and feels galvanized because she thinks it would be a surprise.

She shocked and happy at the same time when she saw it was a bike.

"Mom, thank you" Kate said

Her parents were really happy for her, Her mother teach her how to ride a bike and it only took her a minute to learn it, Her cousin's Quine watching her and wanted to joined.

" Look Quine Im doing it, I'm doing it" Kate said while looking so happy of what she prevail.

"Yeahh it's just a piece of cake" Quine said

Mel came and asked " Can I joined you guys?"

"But you didn't have a bike how can you join us?" Quine said

"She could barrow mine" Kate respond

Quine look at her with looking ballistic and said "barrow? really?"

"Yeahh she could barrow mine, don't be so mean to Mel" Kate respond

Quine leaves them with feeling ballistic, while kate and Mel continues to play

Kate tried to understand the two of them because they were always fury, but sometimes they're good to each other.

She couldn't always play with them because they had siblings, Kate were just only child.
