Kate went back to Blossomvale, and when she arrived, she saw her friends playing hide and seek together outside. Near the marcupa tree, full of pink in the ground as they played.

Kate's Pov

Her friend called her and said, "Hey, come on, join us."

Kate joined them, and while playing together, she saw Deah come to her father's house with something she bought.

Deah saw her and said, "Hey, let's play together. I have a board game in here and cards also."

"Uhmm, Jel, I think I should go now; Deah called me; just tell them I'm not in this game anymore; I need to go." Kate tried to talk to her friend and escape to her hiding area.

While playing hide-and-seek, her friend responded to her "okaaay."

Tap!! "Gotcha"

"Ahhhhh, now I'm defeated, Kate," her friend said to her while feeling sad because she was defeated at the game.

"I'm sorry," Kate said while laughing at her.

Kate looked so excited and came with Deah. She looked at what Deah had bought and said, "How do I play that game? I don't know; it's my first time seeing that type of game."

"It's popular in our school; let me teach you: first you have to roll a die and look what number you got; for instance, if it's five, count into five, then you move this little thing in that area of five; it's just like a Jumanji game," Deah responded to her.

"But what about the cards?" Kate asked her again.

"Oh, these cards? Well, just pretend it's money and let's see who wins to us," Deah responded to her.

Kate looked excited and started to play with Deah. She rolled the dice and said, "Hey, I've got 6" and started to count "one, two, three, four, five, six," then moved the thing to six.

"Looks like you already knew how to play it now," Deah said to her, looking amazed because she saw Kate's doing better.

"Yeahh, first I thought it was hard; now it's your turn," Kate said.

Deah rolled the dice.

While Deah was playing, Kate kept looking around at the house and thinking as she felt nostalgia.

The house was old and looked like a house of ghosts as it was not really abandoned. Deah's father tried to live in that house because her mother lived there and wanted to accompany her because she's alone in that house. Deah's parents are separate, and her father has a new family. Deah's just visits there every Saturday and Sunday whenever she has no school to visit her father and grandma. Deah was older than Kate and she's already 7th grade at high school. Deah was Kate's aunt because her mother, Jezell Cypher Clavaster, and Deah Ashford were second cousins.

Kate's sentimental feelings stirred as she recalled playing at that very spot as a child. Their game of hide-and-seek had blossomed into something more, their innocence and naivety blurring the lines between childhood and adolescence. The memories were bittersweet, a mix of sweet nostalgia and regret, as they realized the innocence of youth had been lost in the heat of the moment.

"Hey, I've got six too; now we're equal," Deah said to her, and she noticed Kate wasn't paying attention.

"Heyyy, I said we are equal now, look," Deah said.

Kate, look at her.

"Why do you keep looking at the house? Is there anything in here?" Deah asked.

"Nothing; I just remembered we used to play together in this house with our other friends," Kate said, like she wanted Deah to understand what she was trying to say.
