Chapter 17
-Damion Astor-
"Mira's doing okay for now. She'll be staying with that boy for a while until she's ready to come back home." I said to Dana.
As soon as I got inside, she was the one who literally ran to meet me and worriedly asked about my sister while the rest of my brothers were nowhere to be found as I already expected.
But no matter where they are right now, I'm going to find them, I'll hunt each of them down if I have to because we will have that fucking talk whether they like it or not.
"Thank goodness for Sir Gabriel! The first time I saw that boy I knew he's a genuine and good boy who only has the best interest at heart for my young miss."
My eyebrows furrow at what she said.
"You've met him before?"
"Yes, he's the one who's been sending those bouquets and handwritten letters for Miss Mira when she was unwell." She answered.
I thought all of those came from her girl friends. I remember asking her about him once and she told me he's only Corbin's friend and teammate.
I'm sensing that boy doesn't only see my sister as a friend. That only irked the older brother in me. But right now all I really feel was nothing but gratefulness and appreciation for that Di Luca boy.
"Do you think that boy likes my sister?" I asked.
"What's not to like about that sweet little girl?" The older woman only smiled and shrugged.
Well, that doesn't help at all.
A fake coughing made me and Dana turn it heads to find that my younger brothers are all standing there looking at me each with an unreadable expression on their faces.
I could only hope that after hearing what almost happened to our little sister finally gave them the wake up call they desperately needed.
But, fuck, I thought wrong.
"You're unbelievable, brother." Hendrix started to say as he shook his head.
"You really let that girl stay with Gabriel? Just like that?" Corbin added, crossing his arms to his chest and stubbornly rolling his eyes. I would've fucking plucked it out if only he wasn't my fucking brother.
"That was her decision and I only respected it." I calmly started.
"You don't need to respect her decision. You decide, you call the shots for her, you're her guardian for fuck's sake, Damion! After what happened she should stay with us, her family, not there with some strange boy!" Maddox screamed at me in anger.
That's it. I've fucking had enough of their ignorant, insensitive, and stubborn selves.
But before I could chastise them, Dana surprised all of us and took it upon herself.
"That's enough of you three treating that sweet, precious little girl, your own sister, like some dirt in your shoe! She's your sister for Pete's sake! After what happened, I thought that it would make you all finally open your eyes and realize all the mistakes and unfair treatment you've been doing to that poor girl, but you're still treating her the exact same way!
What's even more heartbreaking is the fact that you've done nothing but to verbally and emotionally abuse her, she still loves all of you and looks up to all of you as her brothers! You are all unbelievable and that little girl doesn't deserve any of this crap and all of you most definitely don't deserve her love! What happened in the past wasn't her fault and you know it and yet you still continue to punish her for it. If your mother and father could only see you right now they would be so very disappointed in each one of you!"
