As we stepped into the winter chill of London, the festive decorations and twinkling lights of the city brought a sense of warmth and excitement. The streets were bustling with last-minute shoppers and families enjoying the holiday atmosphere. The scent of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine filled the air, mingling with the crisp winter breeze.

We made our way to the car, where a house-elf was waiting to take our luggage. The little creature greeted us with a deep bow, its eyes shining with excitement. "Welcome, Mistress Lyra, Master Sirius, Master Regulus, Mistress Walburga," it squeaked, taking our bags with surprising strength.

The drive to Malfoy Manor was filled with laughter and stories, making the ride feel shorter than usual. Pads and Uncle Reggie shared stories from their school days at Hogwarts, their antics causing us all to burst into fits of laughter. Even Nana Wallie, usually so stern, couldn't help but smile at their stories.

"Remember that time we snuck into the Forbidden Forest?" Pads said, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Oh, don't remind me," Uncle Reggie groaned. "We were lucky to get out of there alive."

Nana Wallie shook her head, but there was a fond smile on her face. "You two were always causing trouble. It's a wonder you survived Hogwarts."

As we approached Malfoy Manor, the sight took my breath away. The grand entrance was adorned with elegant Yule decorations, from garlands of holly and ivy to sparkling fairy lights that twinkled like stars. The scent of pine and cinnamon filled the air, and the soft glow of enchanted candles created a magical atmosphere.

Carina's eyes widened in awe as she took in the splendor of the manor. Her little paws pressed against the window, her whiskers twitching with excitement. "This place is amazing," she says in my head, her voice filled with wonder.

"Welcome to Malfoy Manor," Draco said with a proud smile, holding the door open for us. He looked every bit the host, his demeanor calm and welcoming.

Inside, the warmth of the fireplace and the cheerful chatter of guests greeted us. The Malfoy family had spared no expense in creating a festive and welcoming environment. The grand hall was a sight to behold, with its high ceilings and elaborate decorations. A massive Christmas tree stood in the center, its branches heavy with ornaments and lights.

Nana and Uncle Reggie were already mingling with other guests, their laughter echoing through the grand hall. Nana Wallie, always the social butterfly, was in her element, chatting animatedly with Aunt Cissa.

"Lyra, come meet some of our friends," Draco said, leading me towards a group of familiar faces with Carina trailing behind me. Blaise, Pansy, and a few other Slytherins greeted us with warm smiles. The sense of camaraderie and friendship was palpable, and I felt a wave of gratitude wash over me.

The evening was filled with joy and celebration. We enjoyed a sumptuous feast, the table laden with delicious dishes. There were roasted meats, savory pies, and an array of desserts that made my mouth water. Carina quickly warmed up to everyone, her barks blending seamlessly with the festive cheer. She perched on Nana Wallie's lap, purring contentedly as she was fed bits of turkey.

After dinner, we gathered in the sitting room, where the fireplace crackled merrily. Uncle Reggie entertained us with stories of Yule traditions, his deep voice commanding attention. Even Carina seemed entranced, her eyes wide as she listened.

We exchanged gifts, each one carefully chosen and wrapped with care. Pansy gave me a beautiful bracelet, its silver charms catching the light. Blaise presented Carina with a small, stuffed dog bone, which she immediately chews on with delight.
