ZOE POV.

I stood near the dressing table getting ready as we had to leave for Udaipur. After that, I double-checked if I had packed everything. My resignation letter was kept on my dressing table and I had to drop it to the office on my way to the airport.

With teary eyes, I took a final look into my room not knowing when I would visit here again. Mom called me out telling me to get into the car. Sitting in the car I looked at my house, the place where I grew up. The car started and then stopped at my office.

I got down and walked inside. This place had been my comfort zone ever since Veer left me. My boss was sitting there doing some work, and seeing me he got up and smiled.

Zoe: Sir

I handed him my resignation letter

Boss: Congratulations miss. Chauhan and best of luck for your journey ahead.

Zoe: thankyou sir for everything

Boss: I should be the one thanking you for everything you have done for us. I have no idea how the company will do without you.

My colleagues came up to me and hugged me, wishing me best of luck. After that I went back to the car and we reached the airport. I saw Veer and his family waiting there for us. We greeted each other and went inside the airport.

I told my mom I was going to get myself some coffee. Veer was coming too but his mom stopped him😅.

When I returned back they were weighing the luggage. I put my bag there with the others but it seemed heavier. After weighing the bag the staff said that mine and Veer's bag was over weight. But i remember weighing it at home and it was nothing more

Mom: So what should we do now

Veer: We have to upgrade our tickets to first class, to allow extra luggage

Mom: All of ours

Veer: No, only mine and Zoe's

My Mom looked at us suspiciously

Mom: Fine, but upgrade mine too

I saw his face going down

Veer: But I have already done it

Mom: when? okay fine, Zoe go with him

Me and Veer left from there. Those who were travelling first class had a different exit. Veer looked back making sure we were out of sight and then held my hand inverting his fingers in mine. I turned towards him after we sat down

Zoe: So, what did you do?

Veer: what did I do?

Zoe : with the luggage

Veer: isn't it obvious

Zoe: Veer, I was already under hot water. Mom was still angry on the previous incident.

Veer: Well sorry we couldn't complete it , but never mind once we reach Mumbai there will be no one to disturb us

He said that with a big smirk

Zoe: shut up

They called our flight number and we went inside. I took my seat which was next to his. This man might have spend a lot of money to get me alone with him but I wanted to sleep since I was packing the entire night. I closed my eyes drifting to sleep.

I woke up when they announced that we would reach in 10 minutes. I realised that I was comfortably leaning on his shoulder , his arm around my shoulders. Moving his arm , I got up

Zoe: why din't you move me

Veer: Move you

Zoe: I was leaning on your shoulder when I was sleeping

Veer: it wasn't the first time right

Zoe: So what

Veer: btw your hair is in a mess, let me straighten it

Zoe: I can do it myself

I started looking for my mirror but he still did it

Veer: And also eat something now

Zoe: Ya I brought some pasta to eat ,but did you eat anything

He smiled at me. I took out my two forks

Veer: So you knew it

Zoe: no I kept two forks for emergency

Veer: Emergency

We started eating the pasta

Veer: you made it

Zoe: nop, mom made it. Don't you know that I can't cook

Veer: well people like to learn, I forgot that you aren't one of them

Zoe: well I am too busy

Veer: if you say so

Our flight landed we then we had to go back to our families. After reaching the hotel I went to my room and took a bath and changed into my nightwear. I got out and went to have dinner. We needed to rest today as the sangeet was day after tomorrow and we needed to prepare for that.

Later that night I took my phone and unblocked Veer's number .Now a part of me wanted to forgive him and start a new beginning while the other part feared about another heartbreak which I couldn't tolerate.

The harsh words that he had used on me struck into my heart like a knife

*throwback*

on the call

Veer: hey

Zoe: why weren't you picking up my phone

Veer: baby , I was busy

Zoe: you could have atleast left a message

Veer: Zoe, I said I was busy

Zoe: So now I have no time in your life

Veer: you surely do , but clearly you want to ruin it fighting

Zoe: don't blame me , you didn't call for a week

Veer: I told you give me sometime for myself. My grandfather will only make me the Ceo if he sees my hardwork and dedication

Zoe: And that's more important than me

Veer: ZOE! I told you that I am doing this for us. To secure our future and give us a perfect life later so stop making it harder

Zoe: you are the one taking me for granted.

Veer: There are girls way hotter than you at my work but I never f***ing care to even look at them cuz I have you. Any other man might have fallen by now

Zoe: And you are telling me you dindn't

Veer: great you don't turst me anymore

Zoe: How can I , you hardly call me

Veer: Zoe for the 100th time I am a busy person unlike you

Zoe: (starts crying)

Veer: okay now stop crying and wasting my time, otherwise bye I'll call you later

Zoe: no you don't have to call go enjoys with those hot girls

Veer: fine then I"M ENDING THIS AND DON'T SHOW ME YOUR FACE AGAIN FOR TRY COMING IN LIFE AGAIN. ONCE I'M SUCCESSFUL I'LL FIND A NEW GIRL BETTER THAN YOU. I MEAN ANYONE COULD BE BETTER THAN YOU. I'M SURE YOU'LL END UP MARRYING SOME SMALL TOWN GUY AND KEEP WORKING FOR HIM DAY AND NIGHT CUZ YOU SURELY DON'T DESERVE ME.

Cuts the call

*flashback ends*

Tears rolled out of my eyes remembering those words. Now he says that he was angry and never meant it. I had blocked his number after that because of which he couldn't call back to explain. Should I give him another chance.
