BREAK IT!

"L-Lady Mielle-!" Emma voice brought me back to reality. "My lady... why are you in tears?" She went in and reached for a handkerchief and wiped down some hot tear stains in my eyes. I... I... didn't even know that I was crying...

Why did I cry? I touched the warm hot stains in my face. How strange, I didn't feel like mourning, yet I already broke down?

...And... what was that voice? W-why did it tell me to B-break it? Waas it... trauma?

I shivered instantly at the thought of the idea.

"L-Lady Mielle, why are you upset?" Emma asked in worry, as she wiped the tears off my eyes. I shook my head as I said, "I-I have no idea, they j-just came out,"

My voice croaked out a soft response.

"-MY LADY-!" A loud voice intercepted us in the middle of our conversation. "My Lady Mielle-!" A red-haired maid came rushing towards me in a hurry. "T-The Count is back!"

H-huh? I got up from my desk haggardly as I stared at the red-haired maid. H-Hold on, I think I remember this maid... wasn't her name... Anna or Annie or something like that?

"Ah... is that so?" I respond, almost feeling unbothered as to why it mattered that the Count was back.

"Yes, my lady!" The redhead responded, but she looked at me confused as she said, "B-but, M-my lady were y-you crying?"

Oh shoot, I quickly wiped away the hot stains and said, "It seems that I missed my father a lot. Let's g-go see him,"

Hah... what a lie... As if I care about that old man... Ugh... (¬_¬)

I try to pull the attention away from the others as I go down the stairs to greet the Count, Mielle's father.

The Count looked happy as far as my arrival. He happily greeted me in arms, as he said, "Mielle, did you grow a little taller?"

The servants around the mansion quickly unloaded the boxes of gifts and presents that he brought back from the souvenir.

I didn't really want any close contact with this freak at all, so I just dodged his hug and quickly responded with an eager smile as I said, "It's good to have you back, Father."

Right, where were you when all the craziest shit happened?! And Ugh... why did he have to show up now? It was all nice when people stopped bothering me. Actually, with the Count gone, I had a little bit more freedom in the manor than anyone else.

Aria's mother Carin, usually didn't nitpick where I was going, or how I was acting very unladylike, but the Count was a little...

Whatever.

"Hahaha, how could I not come back in time for your birthday?" The Count finally said.

Huh?

Birthday?

What now?! Oh shit... right, Mielle's birthday was coming. Ugh, I had a baad feeling about this. I laughed it off as I said, "Is that so, I'm so happy you could make it. Unfortunately, you missed big sister Aria's birthday,"

"I couldn't help it, I tried to come here faster, but there was some trouble," The Count said. What a liar, he doesn't care as much about Aria as I thought. Although, it seems that he made up for it by giving her presents this time around. Oh well, should I be happy that he cares about me, at least?

Nah, that can't be right. As soon as he finds Isis's letter, he'll probably switch up on me real quick.

But my view was suddenly taken by a new visitor who seemed to be getting off the Count's carriage as well.
