IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I'VE READ THE NOVEL... but from what I remember, the Crown Prince had been interested in the Roscente Household before he officially met Aria. So, he sent in a confidant to send her presents.

Aria looked as much puzzled as I was. Rain Pino came in with a bunch of tulips as he approached Aria first and said, "Hello Lady Aria, I came here for Lady Mielle. Is she inside the manor right now?"
Aria looked up towards me, who was standing at the entrance of the Roscente household doorsteps. "Yes she is... however, our pa–" before she could finish, Rain Pino immediately rushed up towards me as he said, "Hello there! Lady Mielle-!"

"Oh hello, you're here again..." I say almost disdainly, but immediately put on a nice smile as I say, "I hope the journey isn't that tiring..."

I immediately remembered that Rain Pino and the Crown Prince got confused between both Aria and Mielle, that he was gifting the presents to the wrong person the whole time...!
