45.Who Are You?

The same day when mehar wrote about the joker faced man from her window:

Karan's pov:

This pregnancy phase is so blissful for me,for mehar,for us ,for everyone.

Anusha and viren also going to be parents soon.I am happy for both of them.

I really learnt so many things and I think it will help us if we again got the chance to be parents.

Haha...what I am saying.pehle ek to aa jaaye.

I also got a call from one of my men .he said that we surely will get the information about that unknown man today.

So I am going there only.

I gave mehar her breakfast and made her eat otherwise she will throw remaining food in my absence.

She needs to be healthy .

"Ok bacha,I am going now.maybe I will get late today,i have an urgent work and also i have to look after something.Don't be afraid ok.you are safe and don't wait for me .sleep on time ..."

I was telling her what to do when she cuts me off in the middle.

"I know..I know what to do.i will eat fruits and then will also eat dinner at time.i will not wait for you maybe,and will sleep on time ...umm..maybe." she said and grinned while I glared at her.

I know she won't listen to me so let it be.i will try to come soon.

After that i bid her goodbye and kissed her forehead.when I was at the door mehar suddenly held my hand.

I looked at her and saw her eyes filled with tears .

I quickly cupped her face and asked her"what happened bacha,is it hurting somewhere .should we go to hospital . c'mon i will take you ..." But was cut in short when she shook her head.

I raised my brow asking her the reason for her crying session.she sniffed and placed her head on my chest.As a reflex i pulled her more closer to me by tightening my grip more on her waist.

"I am not feeling well.i feel like something bad is going to happen.i ...I don't want you to go."

She whispered I pulled her more closer to me so that even the slight air won't pass from between us.

"I am so sorry mehar .you know I wouldn't go if it wasn't that important.i promise nothing will happen .you are safe here jaana.and I will surely come on time.pakka vaala promise ."

She looked up at me and sniffed.

"Can I ask you something.?she asked and I nodded my head .

"What if something happened to me .I ...I don't want to live without you .I am ..I am afraid of death karan.i just want to live happily and freely.i...i" Before she continues i placed my finger on her lips and shushed her.

How can she talk about death infront of me.As long as I am here,I won't even let the single leaf touch her hair.

She can't go away from me even after death.

"This is the last time we are talking about something like this mehar and place it in your mind clearly that i won't let anything happen to you.And first,If something like that happen to you ,you won't have to be afraid ,I will also come behind you .even after death,in heaven,hell or whatever they say.i won't leave you alone.i am always with you in the air ,in your senses,in your heart,in your brain.i live in you mehar."

I conveyed my felling to her and in the last both of our eyes were filled with tears.

But there was something more . Love,affection,care, possessiveness.

I kissed her forehead at last and then after making her calm i left.

The whole day went by in blur.but this man is still searching for the number's information.

"You fucking said that it will happen in some hours and it's 10 now and you shithead still didn't get any traces ." I shouted at that man who was going to find all information.

He shivered because of my shouting and sttuttered.

"Si..sir...I have almost found it but then something happened and the information all got lost .I am trying my best..."

"I don't care about anything.i want it in half an hour otherwise your head will be sent in parcel to your dear parents by tomorrow morning."

I ordered and went out to take some fresh air.

Fucking bastard because of him I have to leave mehar alone today when she wasn't feeling well.

My phone ringed at the same time and yes,as expected it was that unknown man.

"Hello hello....how are you my dear friend."

"Aa gya ,darpok saale." I gritted my teeth while saying.

He laughed and I feel even disgusting by hearing his laugh even in phone.

"Darpok nahi karan saahab ,Aaj main apna akhri daav khelunga and beleive me when I say that you can't do anything."

I clutched my phone tightly .

"You know what,you only make false threats .I get threats like these everyday and you are not less than those cockroaches ."

"Hahaa,and today this cockroach will come out .I heard that your wife is scared of cockroach.aah,she is doing something upstairs in the room near window and making some shitty decorative things.what do you say should I go in and scare her.nooo,i should kill her just like every human do when they saw cockroach."

He said and hung the call.

He knows about mehar .he is there.he knew I am not near her.

Shit .Shit.Shit.

I quickly sat in my car and started driving while making the call to sudheer who is the security incharge .

But he didn't picked up .I tried calling him several time but shit....

I called mehar and my breathing were turning ragged as I was waiting for her to pick up.

At last she picked up the phone and my eyes blurred with tears when I heard her sweet voice.

"Hello,karan.."

"Mehar...you are safe right." I asked her and she laughed saying mujhe kya hona hai.

"Mehar hear me carefully..."

I was going to say that she should go in my study room as that room only open with mine and mehar's fingerprints when i heard the door bell rang.

My heart was hammering in my chest loudly.

"Karan wait for sometime,there is someone at the door." She said .

"Mehar don't.." but she put the phone down.

The call was still on and the phone was in her hand as I can hear her footsteps reaching downstairs.

I was shouting but ofcourse she didn't heard me as the phone was not on speaker.

I heard the door opening and heard her saying "who are you?"
