Max wakes up in the nurse's office after a couple of minutes of being unconscious, he sits up rubbing his head noticing where he is. Looking around the room he sees Oliver lying in the bed next to him, he has bandages over his face and an ice pack on his forehead as he sleeps.
Max: Hey uhh, are you okay?...
??: he should be fine, after all, he gets into trouble all the time.
Max: huh?
Max looks before him and sees a girl sitting in a chair across from his bed, holding an ice pack to her arm while smiling at Max.
Max: uhh, who are you?
Petunia: my name is Petunia, your max right?
Max: yeah that's me, how do you know my name?
Petunia: The nurse told me before they went on their lunch break or something, but I don't know...
Max sits up from the bed before standing up fully, he walks next to Petunia and offers his hand to her. Petunia then stands up and shakes his hand with a smile.
Petunia: so what even happened?
Max: I kinda got into a fight with the trash bag over there.
Petunia: on your first day? You have some guts huh? I like that.
Max: thanks, what about you, what's your reason for being here?
Petunia: I just fell on the ground trying to run after my friend, got a little scratch but it started bleeding and one of the teachers sent me here.
Max: chuckles sounds like you got some guts too huh?
They both noticed the time, it was almost the end of their 4th period and school was almost over. They both walk to the door and leave, shutting the door quietly so it won't wake up Oliver.
Petunia: what class were you going to before you got caught up in the nurse's office?
Max: Art class. I was going to it but then got caught up with Oliver and the rest is history.
Petunia: I'm in that class! Dude you missed out on so much, but it's okay since it was only the beginning of a new subject.
Max: phew, thank goodness chuckles
Max and Petunia continue their conversation about art until the bell rings, soon the other kids start flooding the halls and out the school doors to finally enjoy the rest of their day. Max and Petunia walk outside after most of the kids are leaving, Max sees Kevin standing on the sidewalk waiting for something.
Max: looks at Petunia well, I'll see you tomorrow maybe?
Petunia: of course, we all have to come back anyway right?
They both chuckle a bit at the joke, they then fist bump and proceed to walk their separate ways hoping to see each other more often.
Max: Kevin! What's up? Good seeing you again.
Kevin: looks up from his book Max, it's good seeing you as well. Are you coming over to my place?
Max: Let me call my mom and ask her if I could go.
Max pulls out his phone and scrolls through his contact list, he soon finds his mom's number and calls it. Soon the call is picked up.
Max's mother: hey sweetie, what's up?
Max: Hey mom! I was wondering if I could go over to a friend's house for a bit.
Max's mother: hmm I don't know, do you promise to be home by night?
