———— Aaron Hotchner, Derek Morgan.
Morgan seemed unfocused and down, not paying much attention to the jokes the team was made on the jet home. He was looking out the window, with his headphones on, and did not connect to the conversation that the rest of the team was having, trying to distract themselfs from the case.
Aaron looked at Derek, who wasn't including himself in the conversation. He approached the younger man and sat in front of him to speak to him.
"Morgan?"
The young agent took off his headphones and looked at his boss. Hotch analyzed him with his typical serious look and raised an eyebrow.
"Are you okay, Derek?"
"Yeah, Hotch, everything's fine."
"Are you sure about that?"
The older man kept his eyebrow raised, observing the young man in front of him. Morgan sighed at the firmness of Hotchner's gaze and nodded to his question.
"Of course I'm sure, man, come on. It's okay."
"Why don't you come and have a drink with us? Reid is going to do some magic tricks and we're talking. It would be nice if you came with us, so you can take your mind off the case a little bit. You did a good job, but it was hard, right?"
"Yes, but I'm fine. I just want to zone out and listen to music."
"Honestly, Derek, I'd rather you weren't alone." Aaron said softly, but serious at the same time. "Come with us, come on, I'll give you a coffee."
"But Hotch..."
"Morgan, please."
"I'm fine, Hotch, enjoy the time with them. I'll be fine." Derek said, a little bit mad. He didn't like asking for help.
Aaron nodded, stood up, and went with the rest of the team. He picked up his glass of whiskey and took a sip, the ice clinking.
Dave looked over at Morgan and gave him a curious and gentle look. The youngest agent looked through the window and putted on his headphones.
It was a Thursday night. Derek felt tired, useless and lonely. He knew something wasn't right inside his head, it was like having a storm or a bomb that could explode in any moment, and Morgan really knew he needed help, even if he didn't want to.
Spencer was still in the office. He was like Derek's little brother, so he approached him.
"Hey, pretty boy." He said, anxious about what he was doing. "May I talk with you for a moment?"
"Uh, yeah, sure, but I'll go home in a few minutes."
"It won't be long, I promise."
"Alright, what happened?"
"I feel... tired. And my mind isn't working like it's supposed to. I don't know what to do, and I love you like a brother, Reid, so I was wondering if you... could... help me."
Spence looked at Derek, a little bit confused. Morgan was asking for help? That was new and... weird. But it was important for the youngest agent, so he nodded and looked at Hotch's office.
"You know, I don't understand emotions very clear, but I know who can help, if that's fine."
"Yeah, anybody, please. I just need to talk and... I don't know."
"I get it, don't worry, Morgan." Spence smiled a little bit and started walking towards Aaron's door. "Come with me."
The older agent walked with Reid into their boss's office.
