———— Jason Gideon.

The young man Axel Meyer was a stubborn boy, driven by his ideas and extremely independent. He tried not to show his emotional side to anyone, as he feared being judged.

He decided to work at the BAU, recommended by his friend and colleague Emily Prentiss. She helped him get into the FBI. All his companions noticed that he was distant, almost cold. Derek had offered  him beers, Spencer had tried to tell him interesting facts, JJ treated him like he was her son, etc. The only one he accepted into his circle was his best friend, Emily.

"Meyer, is everything okay?" Hotch asks, raising his eyebrows. "You look sick."

"Everything's fine..." the young man murmured, taking a sip of black coffee.

"Did you know that the type of diet a person eats affects their sleep state? It means that-"

Axel walked away, frowning. He didn't mind the closeness, but lately he was getting headaches, had a fever, and really felt sick. Axel hoped no one noticed.

"Meyer" Gideon walked towards him. "Come with me."

Axel followed him, still holding his cup of coffee, and they both entered the major's office.

"I'll get right to the point. You're sick, and I want you to go home now. I talked to Hotch about it, he gave you leave until you recover, and I'll take you to your place."

"Gideon, please don't overdo it-"

"I said now, Axel. Your things. We're leaving."

Sighing, the young man went in search of his backpack. Everyone looked at him curiously, but he didn't respond, just followed Gideon to his car. On the way he remained silent, quite nervous about Jason's proximity. He had never seen the oldest act like that, like a father. It didn't bother him, but it seemed strange.

They got out of the car and Jason entered Axel's house with him. The boy, feverish, dragged his feet to his bed and fell down.

"Come on, open your mouth and let me see your temperature."

"I'm fine, don't be annoying and leave me alone."

Jason was starting to lose his patience. Axel didn't seem worried about it, he simply settled down more and closed his eyes with a grimace of discomfort.

"Meyer, open your mouth."

The young man parted his lips and let Jason take his temperature, simply to keep the peace as much as possible. It turned out, obviously, that he had a fever.

"I have pills for fever, nausea, headache and sore throat. Here."

Jason handed a powder blue pill to the boy, along with water. Anyway, Axel rejected it.

"No, thank you, Gideon."

"Okay, that's enough. You're taking your medicine."

Jason pulled Axel's wrist until he was face down in his lap, resting on his thighs.

"I don't want to hear your bad words, Axel. Stop it."
