I enter the apartment with a sigh. The team and I just watched a very complicated case that made me wish I was home with Ellie. 

I go to the kitchen and have a glass of water. It's very early in the morning, the plane took longer than expected and we flew at dawn.

What the hell?

I walk into Ellie's room. She's supposed to be asleep, why is she awake at 5am on a Saturday? Did she sleep at night? 

 "Elisa Hotchner, I hope you have a good reason for saying that bunch of bad words."

She looks at me. Her cell phone is on her right hand and she has an energy drink in the other hand. On his bed and on the floor there are 4 other drinks, although they are only the empty containers.

"Dad! You said the jet would be delayed..."

"Yes, and that's why I'm here so early. Now, what's happening here?"

"Nothing." Ellie whispers.

"Yeah, sure. Give me that drink, young lady. And your cell phone."

She obeys within seconds, placing her cell phone and the energy drink in my hand. He picks up the other cans from the floor and puts them in the trash can. 

"You're 13, you're not allowed to drink this kind of stuff and you know it. Not only does this have caffeine, it's also bad for you." I say, remembering the talk Reid gave me. "We've talked about it many times, young lady. Unless you play sports, you're not going to drink these drinks."

 "What a fucking shit..." 

"Excuse me?" 

"I excuse you. Now leave me alone." 

"Oh, that's not the attitude you want to have with me, Elisa. Get up and go to the corner now." I order, frowning.

She rolls her eyes, but gets up and goes to the corner. She stares at the wall while I throw away the drink and leave her cell phone in my room, taking the opportunity to calm down. What does Elisa think she's doing, acting this way? Does she think she's a big girl? Ellie's only 13, for God's sake. And she's receiving a punishment, that young lady...

I come back to her room. Elisa doesn't looks at me, I know she's mad. And she's at the corner, too, so she can't look at me.

"Come here."

I sit on her bed and she approaches with slow steps, her head bowed. When she arrives in front of me I take Ellie's hand and place her between my legs, holding her by the hips. 

"Why am I going to punish you?" 

"Because I said bad words, drank energy drinks, and acted rude to you..."

"That's right. Wanna talk about it now or after the spanking? Hmm?" I put one of my hands on her chin so she looks at me. "I'm waiting for your answer, Ellie."

"Can we talk about it after...? Please."

"Sure, babe. Now we're starting with the spanking, I'll use my hand and then your hairbrush. Is that clear, Elisa?"

"Mhm." She nods.

Ellie lies on my lap and I grab her waist, so she can't scape.
